Thistle Tea as talent is so bad, like go to Hall of Shadows and buy them from NPC and here, you have it
The raid-utility problem is a big problem, really hoping it doesn't go live like that.
Not looking good for Sub so far. Also, maybe I'm not seeing it, but the picture they used for this article doesn't have a Rogue in it lol
Its funny how no one seem to pick Gloomblade while its gonna be really strong now. 15% crit chance from improve backstab + 15% chance proc twice due to weaponmaster. 30% Added dmg due to veil and darkbrew. Then you can add 10% crit from deadly precision and 3% from lethality for a total of 28% crit + crit stats with a 30% crit dmg incrase on top. Also one of the strong thing about gloom is it does true dmg because it doesnt count the armor value
Where is Soothing Darkness? How could they take that out? I don't need cheat death in pvp, I need a self heal that is more than Recuperator, which is only .5% a second.
I'm kind of unhappy with the Subtlety tree.Alacrity can be a powerful talent, but I've always considered it a solution that Blizzard tries to force on players rather than really looking for more creative solutions to the energy management issue.Secret Technique, for a brief window, became a viable talent. Until they introduce Black Power and simply forget about the other finisher. And although in the official forums, there is a consensus on a revamp of this talent, Blizzard continues to ignore it.Thistle Tea, Cold Blood, Vigor and many others are talents from centuries ago, which, in their time, impacted the gameplay and had a purpose, but today they seem to serve more to soften the team's ego about a nostalgia that you can't find chorus / echo in common. There is no variability in any of the trees, when comparing Rogue trees to Shaman or other classes. There seems to be a notion of 'this is fine, because if we complain about something, we won't be heard, and worse, anything slightly interesting could be removed in favor of balance or threats, which only Blizzard will identify'. It is to be content with little, so as not to be left with nothing.I also fully understand a clear desire not to pile on damage amplifiers. WoD was an expansion that all Sub's gameplay boiled down to making an 8s combo window deal as much damage as possible, being highly punitive if any GCD was executed wrong. While this was gameplay that excited many, at the same time, it was very unfriendly to anyone else wanting to get into Sub.The promise of returning to talent trees was to provide us with a sense of choice and fun, including the introduction of load-outs. But what you see now is basically the same skill core, which everyone will pick up, with simple changes here and there to fit in PVP or PVE and that's it. Blizzard is historically known for their 'we know better than you' mentality - despite being proven wrong every time - and the last few interactions, as much as they have changed, have been few and simple. The least I expected was to get out of this false sense of choice. Some freedom and possible (real) options.I'm very, very afraid, that again, we fell into their trap of "That's it! It's great! And now, you guys, have to deal with it!", as always happens.
Actually surprised there was no mention of how Flagellation and Shuriken Tornado now are desync because we don't have the CDR on Flag without the legendary effect, which is a problem for both M+ and Raid where funnel damage is needed. As far as how the whole tree is at the moment, a rework on Shadow Mist to make it more desirable on single target, maybe more cross-node paths and have the left side more PvP-oriented would make it a lot better. As for the class tree, the right side is simply too good to be passed by any of the specs and Subtlety just has no choice but go to the right side to get the 2nd charge of Shadow Dance. Also Cheat Death should be a node with Elusiveness in the middle of the tree, no rogue is passing on Cheat Death for PvE
Why is wowhead using that picture for a rogue post. The picture is of a warrior, death knight and a shaman.
Are Subtlety rogues losing Soothing Darkness? I enjoyed this talent and hope I am not overlooking it.
