I think this take is kinda garbage. You have 5 slots to choose from for tier and 2 slots to choose from for every legendary. It's not like Dom sockets where, quite literally, it was impossible to have the full 5 sockets unless you recrafted. And I'm really curious why Wowhead would even make such a poor comparison. This isn't some unsolved conflict. If you want to use your Legendary on Hands... pick up tier in the helm, chest, shoulder, and leg slots. No recrafting is necessary. If you want to go super hard and recraft your legendaries in response to random drops, like getting something like helm + hands drops in order to pick up 2 set immediately, go for it! But I think the standard player is perfectly fine just ... well, not doing that nonsense and waiting for the BiS 4 slots they will ultimately settle on when they drop for them. The idea that aside from the extreme min-max players out there you are going to see people crafting legendaries as non BiS in response to random drops from week 1 or 2 and then swapping it back to their BiS slot when they collect the 4 they actually wanted is kinda insane. To most this is a hypothetical scenario, something you could do but most decidedly aren't. Wowhead does a hell of a job of blowing up non-issues and stoking hate for no good reason sometimes and it's honestly frustrating. They are going out of their way to setup drama within the community where there is none on this occasion.
oh no!anyways you only need 4 pieces out of 5 for the tier set bonuses. it just make things a bit harderMemory of Unity is craftable on any slot iirc so just pick Cloak, Belt, Boots, Ring, Neck or Wrists and call it a day.
bruh! wowhead misleading again. the new covenant legendary can be crafted on all slot except trinkets, there are 5 tire pieces you need 4, also 8 weeks into the patch you can craft tier pieces on every slot except trinkets.
Don't know why they didn't make the cloak part of the tier like in Legion. I would rather have no tier set, tbh, but since they did, why didn't they do it like Legion? In Legion they added the cloak for this EXACT SAME REASON.
You only need 4 pieces of tier gear to activate the bonus. There are 5 pieces that activate the bonus. Article is pointless.
The real problem is you can't trade that tier token if it's an ilvl upgrade for your tier gear even if you can't benefit from it...
As annoying as this is and the complete lack of foresight it demonstrates, we'll still have 4 out of 5 pieces to work with correct? If they just added another set slot this problem would essentially fix itself.
