ilvl 212 Prot Paladin, was able to get this mount. Final boss sort of has a dps check with the mob that spawns and puts a circle you need to stand in but was doable.I enjoyed this secret and thought it was great walking out and seeing this little mount in the water waiting for me to pet it. I wish more people would enjoy things for how they are, not how you think they should be. This was a secret and it's been found, seems pretty great to me. For everyone who can't solo this yet, you probably will be able to solo it once the big patches come and increase max ilvl. Just have patience.
This secret wasn't 'made' for tanks. Hunters and Warlocks are both very adept at doing it, and I've seen screenshot proof of multiple mages, and even a couple of rogues doing it too. All pure DPS. WW monks have done it, I've seen at least one Fury warrior do it, a few Enhance shamans at least have done it. Hell, I did it as a prot specced pally to be safe, then for an experiment, went back and did it a second time in ret spec, just to see if I could. It could be argued that Priests are being left in the lurch with this one, but you're talking out of your backside to call this a tank only secret, or if you say that pure DPS classes are "discriminated against" which is a flat-out provable falsehood."Couple Rogues". The one rogue video I've seen is a dude who managed to kill the 3rd boss in high level gear on like his 11th attempt with full consumes. So the fact that barely any rogue has done it and those that have needed full consumes and high level gear is counter to your point that $%^& aint styled around tanks

Did this solo on heroic in 9.1 where you have to kill all the bosses. 232 protadin. 1st boss is pretty trivial, didn't even bother killing the slimes at all. I just nuked him harder than the heals he was getting. Ickus was different story; a few wipes and wound up using flask/food/oil buffs. The stacking debuff he does is magic and cannot be removed with Kyrian vial, however a bubble on 4 stacks is crucial, along with killing the bomb slime as quickly as possible. The red slimes leave a nice buff on the ground and with wings it does allow you to push some nice dps on the boss, just be sure to never let him range you or he'll nuke you down very quickly with burning strain. Stradma was fairly trivial, don't ignore the webs, bring them all out and don't do it too quickly, the stun along with poison and a few adds will see you lose HP pretty quickly. Always bring out the stealth spiders and remember to fully clear the room or the side packs will aggro during boss fight from the stealth guys in webs. The bosses are long fights, some lasting a good 5 minutes so prepare to sit and fight for a while. I found empowered exorcisms to be pretty handy on Stradma, didn't really find it difficult. Ickus will be the tricky one!~Best of luck to those late comers to the mount~Despite all the ppl crying, this was a very fun and welcome thing to do as a protadin. I wouldn't say it was easy or boring, Ickus is not a simple tank and spank by any means, bring your best and you'll get it. I'd say most tanks could do this if they are played well enough. Paladin however, makes things a bit smoother by being able to remove the debuff on Ickus.
In 9.1 i was able to get this mount as a ilevel 233 Guardian Druid/ 236 Feral / 242 Resto. On the first boss, as a feral just keep your back to the wall so that he doesn't throw you away, your damage will be enough to kill him. Remember to heal yourself when he use Slime Wave. On the second boss, I did it as a restoration druid, just stay close to him to avoid Burning Strain, you can kill the bomb with convoke but you can tank it with the tree of life, so no need to rush in this part, focus on staying close to the boss and staying healthy . The last two are pretty easy as a guardian, just kill the ads.
Was able to get this mount as 229 retribution/224 holy/224 prot pal(with intelect sword) on Heroic dificulty. Didn't use any food/oil/buffs/drums, since I am PvP slave and was too lazy to buy them.
As of now thanks to the people who complained about such a mniniscule thing as is skipping bosses during leveling you have to solo all bosses, otherwise the door to the last boss wont open. If you still didnt do it try next xpac i guess.
