It could be for the best, if people think about it for a second. LFR you'd have to 'mandatorily' fill up 25-40 people, and if 'fated' comes out 'overtuned' in there, you'd 'waste' more time in there than in Normal. It'd be much worse if the mount would be on Mythic, for example. Fated Normal, you can do with 10-30 people.
Well, that sucks. To be honest, I stopped playing around Sanctum when the allegations came out. We were in mythic, but I just couldn't anymore. Shadowlands wasn't fun. Domination sockets were a joke of a system. My guild was falling apart. So, I quit. The promise of the Slime cat mount was probably the first time I was interested in coming back to WoW. Achievable in LFR? Yeah, that sounded simple enough. I was willing to give that a shot. I probably would have muddled around, got gear enough for LFR and ran it. Eventually, a week or two into the process, I'd probably have made new friends and found a guild I liked in dungeon runs or raid pugs. I would have the incentive to gear up and run with them. Maybe I'd even have found a replacement for my dead guild going into Dragonflight. But, the idea of gearing up enough for pug groups to notice me out of the gate? When I'm walking around two raid tiers behind a majority of the playerbase? I don't have four piece. I don't have up-to-date legendaries. I don't even want to think about where I stand with Covenant stuff. That sounds a whole lot like speed-running all the things that made me leave Shadowlands in the first place and frankly, slime cat's cute, but not 'Boy, I can't wait to bury my face in the expansion that made me quit the game for the first time since I started playing' cute. I have other games to play, so no skin off my back, but this is a reminder of why I probably don't need to come back for Dragonflight, either.
I feel like a bunch of people are missing the point that this achievement is live as saying on any difficulty but now less than a week before S4 launch Blizz is going 'haha jk unfortunate for you'.We could argue the casual v. hardcore thing for ages and it comes up in so many posts that it's almost not even worth re-treading at this point.I am fortunate enough to be part of a raiding guild that regularly clears heroic and pushes into mythic. I am not opposed to some items being limited to certain difficulties, that's just the way it is. But what's getting under my skin is the switcheroo they are pulling at the last second when:A bunch of guilds are on break until Dragonflight; and/orSome raiders are having a hard time mustering up the enthusiasm for the upcoming content and therefore aren't interested in logging in, therefore reducing the pool of raiding players (and indirectly impacting the overall quality of raiders that are still logging); and/orPlayers affected by this change have their own reasons for sticking to LFR and it benefits literally no one to have their reasons scrutinized by random people on the internet, and related:IT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS if someone is not able to dedicate the time or find a group for normal raiding, please stop assuming you know every single player's life situation and expect them to play the game the way you do.Let's refocus our efforts instead on why the jelly cat has been advertised as being able to be obtained in LFR and suddenly it isn't. I am positive basically no one would be upset if it had been shown as normal or higher from the beginning.
"I’m personally hoping for a reappearance of the Friendship Moose communities we saw six years ago a massive increase in WoW token sales. Really fun times."Fixed it. :-)
One less reason to resub then. Not interested in grinding my outdated gear/legs up to the PuG community's absurd standards just to run 4 instances in an expansion that's basically over.Kinda funny that normal is simultaneously 'super easy lol just do it it's SOOO easy xD' but also 'LFR shouldn't have this because it's not a challenge!'. Can't wait for WoW's raiding community to gatekeep itself into extinction.
Hoping for the "Friendship Moose" community to come back and not just letting people get the mount in LFR is straight up garbage. Also, why are people saying LFR isn't a "Raid Difficulty"? What do they think the last letter in LFR is for? Regret?
Imagine being this entitled to something because you happen to have a life outside the game. You don't need a guild to do normal or even heroic. Watch youtube guides, learn the fights, trial and error. Easy. If you don't have time for it then that's a you problem.
I am visually impaired and I can't spend hours on end for a raid. I get migraines if I have to pay so much attention for so long. I had really hoped to get this mount on LFR since I can just go afk while queing and just move around a bit every 5 minutes or so. I also would get kicked out of pugs since I'm visually impaired and GTFO is a bit slower than visually being able to see things so I end up standing in the fire. And telling people I'm visually impaired has gotten me kicked before even starting before.
