Now I'm a little pissed and I'm about to drop a wall of text on this crap. I apologize up-front to my fellow players who don't need to see this s!@t, but I gotta say it.Kcoplin… Attacks basically anyone posting critical comments on the storyline saying if we want better, write it ourselves.I took that as, he don’t care if we are paying for this service, we should just take what they give us and be happy or leave, not provide critical feedback to improve the franshise we love.I took issue with that and felt the need to respond.I did not “Rage” and explained the concept of we pay for a service and we expect a good product AND that Blizzard cannot rest on the past success, that they must work for it each and every day, and we should demand it for our money.I used a saying from an old commander of mine from the military, it was not an indication that because of my military career I know better, it was an example, and it does not equate to being a kid on Call of Duty who looses! That is a poor stretch and when you can’t make a valid argument, you resort to attacking the person, not the subject. What I find funny is that Kcoplin responded quite quickly, and again, being on the attack towards his fellow gamers, takes issue with he fact that I had just mentioned my military service to highlight a saying I used to hear I thought was relevant to the topic. He then said that ‘this’ attitude I displayed was why people were leaving Blizzard, (not grounded in reality and he has no actual knowledge of this) and then he “hopes” my CO wouldn’t see what I posted (presumably because he would be embarrassed by my post) another personal shot.Another player commented on this last statement also indicating that the “old guard” is not leaving because of critical feedback on the forums LOL and he is more likely than not right that it Is behind the scenes stuff at the company, not the players! And another player commented to Kcoplin that he needs to understand that people who invest over a decade into something will feel invested and even pointed out, yeah, the game is in piss-poor shape right now.So in his infinite wisdom, Kcoplin decides to make a false analogy, comparing World of Warcraft as ‘just a video game and not real life’ and then comparing it to Baseball and NASCAR.His argument is that it is ok to be ‘outraged’ if this was said Baseball or NASCAR, but not here? And again, doubles down on “The fanbase isn’t exactly blameless you know”! Yes, we give critical feedback, but NO the fanbase does not write the story, create the Lore, design the game systems, layout the games features… Again, not holding Blizzard accountable, passing blame on the players. Bad news.I’m not going over my next posts in detail, however, Kcoplin decides to now ‘triple down’ and again attack me personally because he can’t even make a decent argument on the merits of why giving critical constructive feedback is a bad thing, no, he has to say I’m throwing a “tantrum” and saying I’m “outraged” and that I am acting “all high and mighty to someone who didn’t join the military”.! And he “wouldn’t even know what my fellow soldiers would say or think about my raging” Then on top of all that you have the balls to tell me to “get a life” and there are ‘real’ problems out here to be outraged over’WTF is that S!@T. I wasn’t going to post again, but after reading this S!@t, “You remind me of those COD players who reference there ‘supposed’ military careers after getting killed in multi-player:” WTF is that supposed to mean? Are you flat out saying that I was talking about being in the military because I lost something or I think that people will take a forum post more seriously because I said I was in the military? Are you kidding me with this crap?He is what I think. I think you have problems, self-esteem problems. I know you attacked me personally with your “what would your CO think” comment, and instead of arguing the merits of my dissatisfaction with the state of the Lore/Storytelling, you attacked me personally and in the end even question if I was in the military. You sir/madam, are the problem. I was not raging over the game earlier, but I am now. And just so you are aware, I am a 100% Disabled Veteran, I have PTSD and severe Anxiety. I suffer from panic attacks and suicidal ideations. I lost soldiers and friends under my command, and others I served with not in my unit. I am 49 with an incredible wife, 4 kids and a beautiful 5 year old grandson. My family is doing well and you know what, when I came home from Iraq, I did have “Rage” problems. That is why that stuck a nerve, because you don’t know me and I gather you have never seen real “Rage”. Since 2003, 13 of my former soldiers have died from suicide or addiction, for some of them, and to some extent myself, video games were part of our lives and part of our deployments, when soldiers could not “go off base” and were stuck in tents and mess halls, video games and movies were all they had.You think it’s OK to have ‘outrage’ over Baseball or NASCAR because that is “real life”? You don’t know what “real life” is.Living in a First World country is not “real life”, the suffering around the world is more than most Americans could ever handle. So yeah, I take my World of Warcraft seriously. I have loved Blizzard games longer than I have been married. I’m invested. If you don’t have the ability to make a counter argument on the topic and have to resort to attacking the person, not the subject, than YOU ARE THE PROBLEM IN OUR SOCIETY.But I guess hey, ain’t that the ‘privilege’ you have… That people like me and those I served with provide for you.God you pissed me the F!@k off.
