Cries in rdruid
Who actually is in charge of designing the tier rankings on this joke of a list? Having a tier list with only S, A+ and A is completely worthless in actually ranking any difference between the healer specs. What are casual players supposed to think when they look at a list like this if they're trying to decide which kind of healer to play? It looks like I should be able to level and gear up a resto druid or a holy priest and do CE mythic progress on them easily and not have any problems getting invited over other healers or performing against them. After all, resto druid and holy priest are both A ranked healers. If it is ranked as an "A" on the tier list it must be good lol.I would think that if I were to design a tier list it might be considered common sense to give the list some more understandable rankings such as A through C or D with only the most exceptional being at S. Or simply number them and call it tier 1, tier 2, and so on. Also in terms of "deep farm" rankings as opposed to somebody still progressing, you by design are usually trying to finish a fight as fast as possible and are often under-healing fights in order to bring extra dps to finish it off that much faster. This usually increases the value of having a couple damage reduction CDs in order for your 20m raid to survive heavy raid damage mechanics while only using 3 or sometimes 2 healers. The emphasis on dps also means that valuable damage CDs from your healers like power infusion (for the parse of course) and ashen hallow still have very high value. My opinion of an accurate tier list would this:S: Holy paladinA: Disc priest and Resto ShamanB: Resto druid and MW monkC: Holy priestBoth for progression and farm.
Glad to see this list was made with some thought behind it and not just as a "meta or die" chart as some people seem to suggest ....Hpriest-main btw.
I have yet to see a competent discipline priest in a raid environment. All i have seen were garbage. I can understand and see why they are S tier as they actually prevent a lot of damage instead of healing it, but it comes with a extremely high skill floor not many can achieve, resulting in my opinion in a skewed rating. S Tier if the player behind it can utilize the spec properly. Since not many do this.. oof.
* VENTHYR MW Monks , there I fixed it for the author.
Mistweaver is A+? Am i dreaming ?
Continuing to put disc in S tier is misleading at best and malicious at worst. Being able to snipe healing with spirit shell (and simultaneously nerf your raw HPS by ~20%) when EHP is so high does not make disc good right now, and the numbers on warcraftlogs clearly back that up for any fight that actually still requires healing.
Please Blizzard. I'm tired of getting refused of every goddamn group, even on HC raiding or on 15 keys, because I'm a hpriest main. Fix us.
I totally agreed as a Hpriest main since vanilla we have been crapped over and over again.
they mean *Venthyr MW. We all know a MW of any other covenant struggles so much.
They forgot to mention that for Disc priest be S tier it needs at least 2 innervates
These articles always seem to under-represent what specs can bring and just focus on the healing/damage numbers. I main Holy in a CE guild and also push high keys (2500+ io). I have no problem topping the meters or pulling my own weight.Holy Priest bring:* High single target healing. Between Resonant Words, Flash Concentration, and Serenity... you can pump.* Divine Hymn gives the raid a +20% healing buff for 15s on-top of doing it's raid wide healing over 6s. Properly staggered Divine Hymns allow you to cover heavy healing phases.* Holy Word Salvation is Holy's 2nd raid wide healing cd and you can use it on some fights 2-3 times. It's one of the highest HPS healing cds ingame and also provides its healing over 15s.* Symbol of Hope gives mana to all of the healers. On mana-starved fights in Mythic you can give back about 10-18% mana to all the healers. The cooldown reduction part is lackluster though.* Most Holy Priests run Night Fae so you bring the utility of being able to give the tank a -20% damage reduction cd for 20s every 1.5 minutes.Holy Priest suffers at:* Dealing damage as good as Disc. The problem is that you are either healing or dealing damage. The spec needs more flexibility.* Not providing mitigation like Disc.* Mana management is just as bad as Disc.* Fights with a lot of movement/aoe on the ground and channeled heals don't mix together.
