I like this, it gives you a reason to lvl up 2 character, even if its just for the sake of the mount.Personally, i prefer the robot cat, but my hunter shall take the flying kitty
The fact that the name is a pun in Greek is golden! :D
Phalynx for sure. Screw that store mount copy
Larion all the way! :3
What's the pun ? :)
Phalynx 100%
Giant flying cat = yes
Gata =catGamatos = awesome (slang)Gata + Gamatos = GatamatosAwesomecat in greek :D
Fwiw - when I did the quests a few days ago, I got the Phalynx quests first, and that led to the Larion quests. So perhaps there is some chance, or conditions, that lead to which set you get offered first. Was playing through Bastion on a Blood DK.
I'll take the Larion any day of the week!
The Blizz writers must be total Greek mythology geeks to know all of this stuff and use it in the game.
Does this unit have a soul?
Anyone who played AC:Odyssey is familar with that mythology and names.I can feel already a month long daily quest chain hearing"Return soon, there is plenty more bonding to be done."
the larion looks like a flying mount, the phalanx looks like a ground mount. (Obviously neither will fly in shadowlands until pathfinding) It could and should fly at some point as wings aren't needed to fly in wow but I feel like it's going to come up. Then again, even Kua'fon couldn't fly until it was added later. I just would like to ask blizzard before I decide, "what are your intentions with these cats ...will one fly, neither, or both?"
I'm curious if anyone else had this problem, but when I chose Larion over phalynx, I was later unable to click on Gatamatos for the world quest "Training Regimen." I'm wondering if choosing either will be a limiting factor for their quests.
