Because after that you got in game holidays that will give some pretty good loot if people get lucky with drops, and then xp boosts on top of that. Late September through early January is practically one holiday after another.As far as the news cycle goes Blizz is known for stealing their rivals thunder. So they might time it to coincide, or drop info shortly after.

Can't see, them releasing a expansion mid November, or late October.. With the 4 weeks lul in raiding it'll leave it too late for the WFR on the lead up to christmas for all the staff I'd imagine
