Claimed it yesterday on what is likely to be my last ever visit to the sanctum. I think this will be a long-term reminder of an Xpac that once was.
I only have 7 soulshapes and I could get the quest.
It's all cool and dandy but is it ever mentioned, whether soulshapes will be obtainable in df? Some of them like the tw ones are pain to get due to rng. So far i only got two, tbc one and cata one, tbc i got after 20 something dungs, cata i got on my 2nd so yeah.....
My level one bank alt can use it which is fun
My point is that soulshapes only dropped while you were in nightfae covenant, if covenants are going away. Or rather we can't be a part of them (or maybe we can but only in sl), how are you going to get those soulshapes drops from pvp ranked, m+ dung, tw dung etc. that's my point. Unless blizz will make them universal drop but i haven't seen/heard anything like that.
level 80- renown... I just wanted to take one of the few neat things from SL forward and now I am going to have to farm renown. *sigh* how long will it take to get to 80?
The thing about soulshapes that still annoys me is that they were able to spend all this time developing like 20 soulshape forms that are now only going to be used with a niche toy, while druids are still massively starved for customization options for their forms. I was really considering maining feral in dragonflight, but I really love making tmogs, and I'll never get to see any of them since I'll be in cat form all the time. There's only like 5 different forms I could take, with a couple color variations for each. It can't be that hard to make a system where different parts of the form acted like different "slots" in the tmog/barber shop menu. You could customize the head, shoulders, legs/claws, body, and tail. You could even make different options unlocked by acquiring pieces of druid tier sets from old expansions so druids have a reason to farm tmog.
I'm guessing there's still something missing. I changed back to Nightfae, collected a few more souls (I now have 9) and the quest is still not appearing for me. I'm Renown 80 and Exalted with all Covenants and have finished their campaigns. Not sure what I'm missing, or if it's bugged for me.Edit: SOLVED. Apparently Choofa doesn't count as having a critter soul, and I only had 9 regular soulshapes. This means that all you need to be eligible is most likely just 1 regular soulshape and 1 crittershape unlocked. I went to ZM to get a few easy crittershapes, as soon as I turned one of them in, the quest popped above Lady Muunn. Hope this helps!
I have 4 night fae characters, all at 80 Renown. The quest is available for two of my characters only. The ones who can get it have:12 soulshapes + 11 crittershapes, campaign done, exalted with Wild Hunt5 soulshapes + 8 crittershapes, campaign done, exaltedThe ones who can't get it:6 soulshapes + 3 crittershapes, campaign done, exalted1 soulshapes + 3 crittershapes, campaign not done, not exaltedThese numbers include the default shapes.Apparently Rep and campaign completion are not factors. Some combination of shapes maybe?
Odd, I got 13 soulshapes on my mage, no option.
