TUNE IN TO THE NEXT DIABLO IV DEVELOPER UPDATE LIVESTREAM

On June 6, Diablo IV will launch, and your quest to combat the darkness suffocating Sanctuary begins. Thwarting Lilith’s diabolical plan is imperative for the survival of humanity, but what can you expect to experience once the curtain closes on the Main Questline and Seasons begin?

Join Diablo franchise general manager Rod Fergusson, associate game director Joseph Piepiora, product management director Kegan Clark, and associate director of community Adam Fletcher on May 10 at 11 a.m. PDT for our next Developer Update Livestream. This time, the development team will spell how Diablo IV’s Seasons, Cosmetics, and the completely optional Battle Pass will work.

Previously it seems they've said the Diablo 4 battle pass is going to cost 'around $10".

You can't *really* compare the two. That said, for the love of god, make the battle pass like Halo Infinite, where it isn’t time gated and you can finish it at your leisure. Nobody does passes like that except Halo Infinite. The FOMO and feeling like you’re forced to play even when you don’t want to because you spent money, is a crappy feeling. I’ll happily throw in an extra $10 to grind out cosmetics, just don’t take it away from me because I don’t finish within some arbitrary time frame.

However, seeing how OW2 uses a pretty standard BP setup, I imagine D4 will be similar, unfortunately. Blizz has done a decent job listening to feedback for Dragonflight so I’m grasping to a modicum of hope that Blizzard will rethink having traditional BPs with expirations and allow players to enjoy them at their own pace.Comment by Bissothis is the stream that will determine wetehr i buy the game, based on how egregious the battle pass is. Just have a simple example of a person that plays only eternal and show exactly what they will and will not get.
