100% xp bonus or no deal.

Not sure if it's intended to stay that way or just for the purpose of the beta to get faster to endgame.

Comment by niceonekekw

please put a realm out there with world buffs and no changes and let ppl choose between them.

Its intended to stay in some form. They said the seasons were supposed to be fast paced and faster leveling is to help support that idea.

please put a realm out there with world buffs and no changes and let ppl choose between them.

The original classic servers with no changes are still there for us to play.

Classic Forever realms are there for that. If you want how it was in 19' then go on reddit and get a reroll group going for a dead forever classic server.

40% is very good i like this its a good Kompromiss.

Comment by Cannonlake

100% or nothing.
We are talking about 12 months realm only.

And what ever, nothing because i don't know what will happen to my char after that. Paying a migration to Classic Era ? PER CARACTER ? Transfer to a TBC SoM ?

Also, no interface reworked, just delete this idiot classic interface and put the Cataclysm interface. Spellbook, minimap, guild, caracter stats, nameplate from BfA etc.
Also, add Guild bank and make our bank with more space like Wotlk/Cataclysm because this bank is a !@#$.

Most people want to experience the different phases again, that's what SoM promises and is most likely the reason most people are returning, not just because of the changes announced.

“Adventure Awaits” - Huzzaaaah!

40%? ..... If players don't want to level, DON'T COME TO Vanilla–it's the one version of the game where leveling matters.

We already have 4 months to level and hit Ragnaros; you could even extend Phase 1/2 by a month and shorten phase 3/4 by a month (3 & 4 are a bit long, to be honest).

Why even release Vanilla? Honestly, what's the point? Changes are more than welcome but gutting the leveling experience? wtf? Now the leveling community has no reason to return to Vanilla for Seasons of Mastery. Thanks, Blizz.

Stay in the dead Classic realm servers then. The leveling is exactly how you like it there :)

Leveling with +40% feels great. Back in the day, the 1-60 journey was best during BC&WotLK.
Vanilla required grinding, because the XP gain was not properly balanced.
There may still be very grindy quests, which could benefit from increased quest item drop rates.

Some classes also could be improved with minor rebalancing for raiding or leveling (e.g. increased % healing for Warriors, for every % rage they loose out of combat).

Classic+ is supposed to be an optimized version of what used to be Vanilla. Meta may change, but the core gameplay will stay vanilla with rebalanced numbers.

For those who want fresh servers for the Vanilla experience:
I am sure there will be a "Season of #NoChanges" in the future.
For now, nothing is taken away Classic Era server still exist.

Comment by Cannonlake

If you don't agree with a Classic change, just stay on your Classic ERA then.
Classic ERA is dead ? Well, ofc he is, 80% of the population was just here to test once, nostalgia or/and prepare to BC Classic.

One more time, if you don't want change, stay on Classic ERA.

I am actually wondering if they intend on having the quest exp scale with level for when SoM goes live and that's what they are testing.

For instance
Week 1 - lvl 1-30 - 25% buff
Week 2 - lvl 30-45 - 40% buff
Week 3 - lvl 45-60 - 55% buff?

That said, I've been enjoying it so far. I love leveling in Vanilla but it also feels great to actually be awarded for completing some quest that took you 30+ min

Comment by Wawatooki

40% is too much. I don't understand the need to increase XP at all honestly. Leveling is a huge part of Classic. It's by far its most developed aspect. Who cares if it takes a month for you to level? The server will be up for over a year it doesn't matter if people miss the first week or two of MC. Increased XP devalues world first 60 and disrupts zone flow while leveling. Not much to classic outside of leveling and raid logging after pre-raid BIS farm. Why artificially shorten arguably the best time in classic's lifespan?

Comment by Mayia

Unrelated - but you can remove it mods if you can pass the question along to staff please.
Hallows end info! can we have it up faster than brewfest i think you guys took 2-3 days to cover the event and even then it wasn't a very good write up.
Tbc classic players would like a good write up on the info/rewards asap! as soon as.. or before the event launches.. we know the mount will be obtainable.. what else?

Comment by nantesfran

y'all crying about an absolute non-mandatory system that is inplace on a completely separate version of the game really really need to re-evaluate your life, if this upsets you.

Come on dude, you now very well that the current classic servers are dead and that it needs a fresh server to revitalize vanilla classic. It wouldn't have anywhere near the player numbers as the original re-release, sure, but there is certainly a community for it. No reason to speak down upon others just because it's not what you want. A little empathy goes a long way. Live and let live.
