brackenhide hollow is gonna be cancer, calling it now
The gauntlet bridge and the corridor of trash after the second boss in HoI are going to be the most fun in S2...
Painful motivation change reminds me of the "cheese strat" people did during BFA
Amazing. The nerf to Brackenhide Hollow is...to the shadowstep ability on the first boss.Holy !@#$ we are in for a couple of rough weeks to months in Brackenhide even after the season fully releases, aren't we?
Oh my god. I'm sitting this season out lmao.
Magmatusk is going to be one of the worst bosses (before any future nerfs) in S2, you can quote me on that. It was easy m0 because you killed it fast but if you ever did it with a low dps group you'll realize how bad its going to be on high keys + tyrannical.
Before season start I have run Brakenhide a few times (different toons to be equipped) and often enough I found myself without a disease dispell and I have to say... it wasn't honestly that bad? Like a lot of diseases are done by casters that you can interrupt. And also there are those little cauldrons all around that an alchemist can activate to give the group a single self-cleanse that lasts for five minutes. I can't really tell you how often those five minutes just ran out, because I wasn't getting a disease in the first place. So sure, a disease dispell will make things easier, but you also can... well... play well, I guess? There will be a bit of that annoying part if you want to pug that dungeon that your healing class without disease dispell won't ever be taken, but pugs are already quite annoying in a lot of different ways, so... eh? Or people will opt in to havin an alchemist with them at all times as well, which is already a thing for court of stars.Another thing to look at would be the mandatory curse dispell on the final boss in Neltharus. On tyrannical weeks that debuff will wreck house, if you can't get rid of it. It's already dealing 11k as base, so on a +20 that's about 53k damage every 3 seconds per player that picked up a relic. As you kinda want to break the shield quickly, probably all five players will won't a relic. That's a modest 88k HPS required if you can't get rid of the debuff. And given that usually a new season bumps up the damage by around 30%, that would mean 114k hps in season 2.
Over the years I've been somewhat against the homogenisation of healers, we went through a phase of them all basically having the same heals under different names which removed all meaningfulness from the individual classes. I was happy to see the return of class individuality to healing... HOWEVER...For the love of god blizz, get rid of this separation of curse/disease/whatever dispels. Sticking a big CD on dispel sucked at the time (and has made many old dungeons a complete pain because they were designed around dispelling multiple things asap). Having some healing classes unable to get rid of a debuff when others can, in a system where things scale infinitely and the old dungeons are built around the old debuff system, is just insanely annoying. It simply means certain classes won't be chosen at all for particular dungeons in a pug setting, especially if they aren't "s-tier".Just give all healers a "dispel", a universal one size fits all dispel, the individual ones just don't fit with how the game plays any more. In M+ whilst one class will eventually hit a wall where they are literally unable to heal through a debuff they can't dispel, a different class with the relevant dispel makes the mechanic nothing but a slight annoyance.*edited to add more relevance* - The mount is marginally better than S1, but I still hate it. Give us dragons :(
Why nerf painful motivation, It was a fun mechanic.
