Purchasing Outfit Slots are Not Account-Wide - All 20 Slots Costs ~800k Gold

Blizzard has announced that the costs for unlocking Outfit slots will be changing. This section is now outdated.Transmogging Tied to Slots in MidnightThe old functionality of saving pre-determined transmog sets is not going away and is still do that for free. The new Outfit slots are only used for the situations system.Outfit Slots

These outfit slots are NOT account-wide, meaning you need to buy them on each character.

Each character gets 2 outfit slots for free.

Players can buy up to a total of 20 slots, with the cost starting at 100 gold and increasing to a maximum of 100k

The total amount of gold is almost ~800k for all 20 slots.

for the more important characters you play, do you really need 20 different outfits?
I got a few I play more often, like warrior, warlock, druid.

2 free complete outfits. Each outfit allows for transmog of all 18 individual item slots. The transmog assigned to any given outfit can be altered in a similar manor as to todays (Pre-Addon Nerf) method of updating your transmog. Additionally, You can now assign "player status/locations" to be the trigger for your character equipping an outfit. Similar to how you can Macro Druid shapeshift to always choose the fastest appropriate travel form or back to your primary spec.
