I personally believe that Secret Paladin's strength has been greatly exaggerated due to all of its possible counters being mostly forced out by GPW. Tempo Mage, Dragon Priest, Midrange Hunter, etc.. Even if they weren't forced out entirely, they had to tech against PW to survive.Regardless, Blizzcon will certainly be a lot more fun with the new meta around.
I think that warsong though problematic with the 2 key cards in patron, could have just been turned into a play from hand give charge rather than just summon.Would still allow beserker to be devastating but would stop the patron comboing off your creatures and a simple whirlwind.Given that we have raid leader which is a 2/2 and buffs all your minions for 3 mana and doesnt get played much.If the new warsong commander gave all your charge creatures +1/+1 then it would be good, but just the +1 attack means it wont get played much unless they print a whole bunch of charge creatures. If they printed a creature that spawned 1/1 charge boars whenever it takes damage you could end up with just a different sort of patron deck. It'll be interesting anyway.
It's an interesting situation... on the one hand, I like variety, and this was one of the quirkier decks (and one of the few combo/combo-esque decks) to be very competitive in HS. On the other, sometimes it felt helpless playing against it. If they got the right draw, and/or you didn't, you generally got OTK'd.Honestly though, I find secret paladin more annoying; you also have to be proactive against that deck by establishing a good enough board to deal with the secrets come turn 6. If you don't, your back is often just broken. There's a reason why it's behind Patron in powerlevel, but personally, I still find it more annoying. More anti-secret neutrals please!
