The things that will make the game fun again is:1) Tanks be able to face tank again. The jumping in, getting aggro and then running away is not tanking. MDI will always choose the one that does the most dps, casuals try this method or thats all players want. Ez Fix, make all the tanks do the exact same dps, that way you can bring anything.2) Take AOE cap off, if some classes have it and others dont, how is that fair? 3) Make classes that usually arent chosen for M+, make them unique. Why bring a lock? Why bring an enhancement shaman? Etc..4) Raider IO is here whether we like it or not, but make something to where its shows avg dps underneath, too many times people are getting KSM and free carries doing zero dps or minimal dps. And sometimes when you just made an alt and do more damage than someone at 2k but dont have the IO just yet. Also seen players with high IO who do less than what they are supposed to.5) I personally dislike covenants, I dont like the system, didnt like it in Alpha or BETA. I see what they are testing or going after but its not working. Reason being and as we've seen is that if one slightest nerf or buff, it changes the whole system. I mean Rogues for example was all over the place, first kyrian, then night fae, then maldraxxus and if you want to change spec to do mythic plus or raiding you cant optimize. To fix this is make it a POE style - get rid of the specifics, make certain conduits made for aoe, pvp, single target, mythic plus, mobility, facetanking, something specific for what people want to do. 6) Make Survival Hunters a tank spec already - I mean all they need is two mitigation CD's and aggro gens. No one plays this spec seriously unless it changes into something else, or just make 2 specs like a DH7) Enhancement Shamans, make totems useful, I know that Ion doesnt want passive things, but ..other specs/classes have passive things...time to bring the poison totem back and rid the 80 whack-a-mole buttons and 5billion haste enhancement has to have to do well. The windfury totem was a start, but in BETA it was nerfed to where it doesnt matter if you have one in the group.8) Cant deny but the catch-up system is a start with renown and getting legendaries, but farming Souls is painful - there is no catchup for Souls.9) Ion needs to look at the classes that havent been up top for ..years. Glad to see Locks, Mages, up there.
About the Itemization thingy:From what I know stat budgets follow this formula, for example a purple item: 0.77*ilevel - 1Minor slots get an added penalty. In this example an ilvl 200 item has a stat budget of 153. A 220 item has 168. If we take this to higher ilvl ranges: 900 has: 692 while 920 has 707 stat rating. Both times the stat rating increase by 15. However a jump from 153 up to 168 is far more significant than a jump from 692 to 707.byeDarky
Yes, this is very unfair to classes. A good example is the legendary of the elemental shaman where you have to push earth shock and build up to get earthquake. You have to build up maelstrom to get an earthquake, unlike a free blizzard, flamestrike. I dont think a AOE should be a cooldown ala Volley, but should be rather even for a build up nature if they dont want the MDI to just pick the classes that do AOE quickly and efficiently.
Power creep was best joke by Ion :D but lack of mention to basically non-existant class balancing and some specs being totally ignored whole shadowland is sad.
Was hoping to see Raid tier sets in 9.1
A druid player calling out other classes being unbalance is such a joke.
As a Holy Paladin, I'm looking forward to seeing their plan to make the non-CS/Judgement build more viable. It is fun to generate HP fast in melee, but I agree that it's too much free dps.One problem is that the mastery forces you to stay in melee, which is hugely synergistic with the passive melee dps build.
so basically no new content in 9.1 aside some few "world" nonsense with crappy rewards in korthia, torghast still a hore but wow now even longer and still with no rewards aside upgrading old gear and new powers sux as they are now and nobody will use them, new raid yea but new tier sets next patch lol? raider io in the game which will make even more casuals to rage quit xD no worries folks next year it will come 9.2 which will probably add next 5 layers to ur beloved content and some hard cap gated gems which well u will have time to grind till 12.2022
No PvP info or updates? That's cool....
I’ve never heard such nonsense... the difference between DPS taking ilvl in to account is extremely disproportionate (I almost choked when he said skill was playing the biggest part in that).Whilst I agree that skill is a varying factor indeed, all you need to do is look at the top 1% of players in each Ilvl bracket and it becomes fairly evident to see that Ilvl is worth far more than 1ilvl = 1%dps.To illustrate my point further consider the following logs across the top 1% of players averaged through the entirety of heroic castle Nathria ...Elemental shaman Ilvl 200-202 = 4596.39Elemental shaman ilvl 224-226 = 7076.78Shadow priest ilvl 200-202 = 4692.11Shadow priest ilvl 224-226 = 7787.41Fire mage ilvl 200-202 = 4408.60Fire mage ilvl 224-226 = 7512.64Outlaw rogue ilvl 200-202 = 4505.23Outlaw rogue ilvl 224-226 = 6861.83Balance Druid ilvl 200-202 = 4683.06Balance Druid ilvl 224-226 = 7737.62These are just some examples with some classes affected worse by this disparity than others, this is not a 22-24% difference! In the instance of Balance Druid it’s a 65.21% difference for fire mage it’s a 70.4% increase. I thought Ian could do maths? Wasn’t this the guy who worked out that c’thun was mathematically impossible to beat before nerf / the beginning of his career as a game developer?
