The biggest problem with garrisons was that they isolated players rather than promoting interaction … in a multi-player game. (Yes, garrison invasions were cool for a while, but that was quite limited interaction.)What could work for player housing is some sort of multi-player village/neighborhood/district setup—something where we interact with other players (and not just by invitation in group). And not just guild-only, but a place where others could “wander in” or move into the neighborhood. Ideally serving as a long-term hub—probably integrated with major cities.Imagine being able to set up a shop to hawk your wares (cooking, professions, etc.). Building a guild hall in the neighborhood would be great, too—a place to show off trophies, but also as a recruitment center. What if the inn/pub received additions and enhancements by players “bringing back tales of their adventures”?Over the span of multiple expansions, new amenities could be integrated, and old phased out—just like a real city. Rather than going somewhere different each expansion as our “home hub” (Dalaran, Oribos, etc., etc.), have a long-term home that is transformed by our adventures and what happens in the world each expansion.Maybe there could be some sort of intrigue sub-game where we “skirmish” (maybe with fighting, diplomacy, or subterfuge) over control of territory and the placement of buildings?I would love it if my characters/alts (of the same faction, on the same realm) could share a “home”, with each adding to it. Even better if they could share a “block” in the neighborhood with their guild. Maybe this turns it into a completely different game, though XD
Thank GOD they are aware that WoW players don't want FFXIV... The less this game is like that one, the likelier I am to play for another decade. People fancying FFXIV can stick to it, simple.
I'd sooner read it than slog through over 5 hours of blabbing...
I miss the old preach, Post-Ghost preach has had all the humor and personality sucked out of him by those new group of friends he hangs out with, they might be high end players but by god they're a black hole of charisma and personality.
What were the first and second eras?
I can see arguments for LK, cata or MoP being the border between eras. But IMO pre LK (and most of LK as well) WoW was in "puberty", where wild ideas were being thrown around and discarded at a drop of a hat. And Legion had a pretty big design shift as well, so dunno if "third era" is a good term.
All the questions Preach could ask and not a single mention of "Heritage Armors" came up? What is with everyone acting like if they ask Ion about them that he'll send a hitman after them?
Yeah right. lmao wonder how much he got paid for this
Curious that pointing out Archimtiros adding in an intentionally inflammatory FF14 vs WoW insult (And an incorrect one borne out of someone who clearly hasn't even played FF14) is 'Inappropriate' and needs to be deleted.Bahahahaha. And then linking to Preach's vod where he's randomly making the statement clearly not referencing anything he himself or the devs believe thinking that saves his pathetic and sad action. This website is a jokeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
