Sorry rogues, they'll hardcode it so your rolls are always a nat 1. (kidding)
Neat.
So just a 5th edition version of the old WoW 3rd Ed?
The 3/3.5 Edition of the WoW RPG released years ago is amazing and I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of tabletop RPG. The (now retconned) old lore is extremely interesting as well. Very highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to play a classic era game (and can even spin it off as a 'alt timeline' if you want)
Ion will find some way to nerf this into oblivion.
Kinda neat. Wonder what pet/mount/xmog they'll tie into buying it. Maybe a lil beholder or tiamat.
We had this allreadyand all the lore in it was discarded....why make it again just to ignore it again?
As someone who plays a variety of ttrpgs, disappointed but not surprised that they'd tie in to 5e, and Roll 20. I'll stick with fanbrew.
Considering Warcraft uses their alignment system, it certainly makes sense. Also, I wonder if they're going to reference the tabletop version because it's supposed to be non-canon, there's so much interesting lore that could've been incorporated.
Very nice, I still have my hard cover first editions and dice, so many changes over the last 45 years to D&D/AD&D, but it is where all of these RPG video games came from.
Nerds.... assemble!
Gelatinous Cube pet that eats critters would be great
I'm actually surprised they haven't done a crossover sooner. DnD has had a ton of partnerships recently on dndbeyond. But also, "recent 5th edition"? 5e came out 12 years ago.
good now the DMS can make better lore
