While im all for the player choice system, One thing that worries me is the pay offSay you go down Route A and then the destination isnt what you want, instead you want Destination B without all the pathway we might get locked into a choice we didnt actually wantIf there is going to be a big payoff at the end they need to at least put a option which allows you to "Alter" the route if you desire.Kinda like what Mass effect 2 did. They gave you a short Comic style DLC at the beginning which allowed you to pick the choices you want from the first Mass effect, Instead of having to play through mass effect 1 to get the chocies you want
Is it just me, or does the Alliance feel like it’s only there to help advance the Horde story this xpac?
Alright, is Nathanos now someones self insert?I am so sick of him
Warcraft : Bandersnatch
Alliance player choice was at the character creation screen and you chose wrong if you didn't choose Horde (spoilers alert!)
I got mix feeling about this, but then again I ain't been playing much.
" It's also worth noting that there are three Horde-themed choices so far between 8.1 and 8.1.5, while the Alliance have no meaningful equivalent."Yeahhhhhhh. Nope. No horde bias. None here. /cry
The thing with Xera always felt artificial and overblown. Xera didnt do anything to Illidan that Illidan had not done to countless others but we are supposed to cheer for Illidan and call Xera naughty? Why? Illidan was a selfish $%^&*! up until the retcon. He was even %^&*!@ throughout legion. always whining about sacrifice as if he had sacrificed more than anyone else, when the truth is he always sacrificed others and never sacrificed anything himself. So far we dont know anything about the light bound other what we see from the perspective of her enemies. Thus far the story behind them is a major groaner. Usually there is more to the story then someone just went bad. Waste of an otherwise interesting character to just have Yrel go bad because we couldnt find an interesting way to bring uncorrupted orcs into the story. Hopefully Bliz does more with that story because having witnessed the destruction of Yrel's people not all that long ago, im inclined to say Yrel did nothing wrong, we just got the story from the POV of those who oppose her.Now we have Nzoth saying the light made a deal with the enemy of all, as if Nzoth himself is not an enemy of anything we care about. If Blizz wants to show that the light can be tyrannical, they need to do a better job of it show it from more than the perspective of evil, or former evil. I know the Mag'har are not evil but I cant really fault holocaust survivors like Yrel for going after those who destroyed their entire civilization.
You kind of chose a PoV, which is fine, I hope the rewards are similar in some way.
Hmm.. if the light made a deal with the enemy of all, I wonder if they are talking about Death since this expansion seems to be rotating around it. I could see death being the enemy of all, since no matter if you are good or bad, death awaits all.
Yes it’s Steve Danuser, you can look at this thread https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20769686997?page=3 . It explains why both Nathanos and Slyvanas are huge
Forgive me if this was mentioned elsewhere. What if the "Six seats" refer to the Horde leaders?Sylvanas being the one who consumes all, and the Light helping her so that Death (Bwonsamdi) can be destroyed?Idk, it's semi far fetched, but we'll see. :)
They could make some alliance choice, but I'm not holding my breath, regarding Jaina and Vereesa's purging of Dalaran. Jaina's thoughts about it were touched on (barely) in the Thros quests. But she ended up absolving herself of it again. Maybe she still doesn't think she did anything wrong. And I'm sure there would be members of the alliance who have different opinions. And from what I've heard from other players, there's definitely different opinions. With Alleria's return, the void elves (including former blood elves) joining the alliance, and Jaina's ascendancy, they could put in some player choice. Not to the extent of a civil war or coup, but Vereesa (and the player character) could be having some regrets regarding their role in the purge, and take action to atone. Or they could stand with Jaina, and void whispers could overtake Vereesa. A possible reward could be an out-of-combat high/blood elf form for void elves, like worgens have human form.
It's all gonna go nowhere, the writers hardly care about what they're doing anyway.Besides, honestly, the WoW team is too monolithic to do anything different. The story, the playerbase divide, it's all stale but they don't give a thought to it. They don't even care if the gameplay is good or not or if classes work, everything in BfA reeks of lazy rehashing old content, and they've already said that those "choices" will have no consequences whatsoever in the end, the most of what will happen is somebody not getting a stupid toy or something equally irrelevant. The 'choice' is completely meaningless. It doesn't even affect the player themselves, much less the game. If there was any sort of actual consequence, as in the character who is in the losing side losing rep with the Horde races all the way back to Neutral at least, not that Horde rep serves for anything, it'd be something to consider. The way it's being implemented? It's just stupid, it won't stop people from running a raid or a dungeon, whoever rallies with the "wrong" side is going to have to kill that same side's leader, Sylvanas or Baine/Zekhan - cause Saurfang is definitely going to be killed by Sylvanas no matter what and anybody who believes otherwise is deluded, sorry - so what exactly do you get with siding with anybody?Nothing. You don't even get to defend the leader you chose and lose the fight like a damned actual soldier would. Literally nothing different happens, except if you choose the "wrong" side you don't do the "right" side's quests, they didn't even think of making quests for the people who side with Sylvanas to do.
What about the Alliance player choice? Again, that blizzard prefer the horde side, and incentive the alliance player go to horde faction, if this continue, will be the horde vs ncp because the alliance faction going to vanish. It's a shame that this happens.
