Thunderfury, blessed blade etc etc =]
deciding to farm runecloth in winterspring, i ran just southwest of everlook, and started killing anguished highborne. lo and behold, the first dies, i goto loot it, and a Glowing Brightwood Staff drops! my boyfriend was playin wow next to me and he didnt believe it, i had to go thru my log to prove it to him. this was my one and only purple world drop :)
When I got the full dreadweave set on my warlock, back when Strat and Scholo were the hardest instances in the game and required 6 hours, I remember begging my friends each night to go and by the time I finally got the full set we were all exalted with Argent Dawn before it meant anything. Although the items were only blue quality, to me they were epic.
My most epic drop would be Dragons Call (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=10847). I used to play guild wars, which was fun, but short-lived due to the cap of level 20. I always wanted to play WoW, but it never seemed worth the money. That is, until that one fateful day… I was watching one of my friends run Sunken Temple, which looked pretty cool by comparison to guild wars, and he told me there was a weapon that dropped off the last boss which was incredibly rare and would summon whelps to fight for you. I collect dragon artwork, namely statues, because I like the way they look and the connotation attached to them. Dragon’s Call is what pushed me over the edge, and it was then and there that I started to play WoW. When I was a high enough level to run Sunken Temple, I didn’t stop until I had my very own Dragon’s Call. By far the most epic drop ever, both my dream-epic and first epic all in one go.
Hmmmm only the best epic ever http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29571
I would have to say my Bloodcaller on my mage. After months of raiding with this guild and being Top 3 DPS every fight of MC/AQ20/AQ40 in greens and blues, it was my first epic that I had picked up.. I was glad I got an epic although it wasn't content we were currently running it was also some of the first raid instances that I had raid lead..After that I only got a few more epics but that had to be my most notible one..Oh btw I still have it on my mage.. was thinking of putting executioner or something on it. =P make it look bad ass.. not sure if it would work very well, it would still look cool if I could get it on there.

Finally getting the stupid bow off of prince, I dont know how many times I ran kara to replace the heroic SV wrathtide bow, but when i finally got it, it felt reaaalllllly good. I definatly celebrated long and hard in org drinking away my past pain and being nk'd with only my bow.I recall killing boars at jaggedswine farm for an hour with nothing but my bow and rough arrows
I picked up the Fel Striker on my first instance run at 60 back in vanilla. Knowing how many people would farm the instance for that specifically, I started freaking out on vent, and then proceeded to get top kills in my first 60 WSG using that dagger.
My most epic loot had to be my first well, Epic. The first epic drop was when my warlock, leveling in the higher level areas of Stranglethorn, goes down to Pretty Boy Duncan's camp, i was killing mobs for cloth, and i finished and got everything i need, as i was leaving I agro'd one of the mobs on the way to booty bay, and he dropped it.The AMAZING axe for all 2handed users at that level, and a excellent 39 twink item, this was pre-bc, atleast half a year before.Fiery War Axe
My main character looted level 70 by completing the Hillsbrad Quest, Helcular's Revenge. When I leveled through that area it was during the days when there was a continual 24 hour war going on between Tarren Mill and Southshore. Helcular was actually moderately dangerous in those days. So when I picked up the rod, I saved it, stored it and the quest in my quest log till I was level 69 in the Burning Crusade. The intent was to use it in the Tarren Mill/Southshore war by my guild, and protect Helcular until he had a massive army of skeletons rampaging through the town.... and it never happened. So I found myself one day, 500 experience short of 70 and Helcular's Rod still in my bank. I fled Netherstorm and alerted my closest friends. Ten of us of various levels descended on Southshore, and pushed the guards back from the graveyard where I planted Helcular's Rod, still earning roughly three and a half thousand experience and dinging seventy. Helcular went down like a wuss, but the rest of us mulched Southshore guards and alliance players for the next half hour quite happily, celebrating the birth of a new Horde 70.Either that story, or the day I won the roll for the Chromatic Carapace in Upper Black Rock Spire. I never did turn it in, just so I can still wave it in front my brother's drooling gaze.Or the day I hit exalted with Cenarion Circle without ever going to Ahn'Qiraj. I bought both The Fist of Cenarius and the Wrath of Cenarius from the badge quests that same day. Yes, thats 30 Cenarion Combat Badges. Yes that's 900 bugs required for those quests. No, I couldn't skip the other bugs, I don't have stealth, I play a shaman. So yes, that was a LOT of bugs and yes, it was very epic learning how to solo some of those bugs with a shaman. And Blizzard lost my Fist of Cenarius when they updated the shaman talent tree with regard to two-handers, no, they didn't give it back. Will that little piece of QQ earn me a loot card? We shall see....
