Most epic loot was not long ago. It was in heroic Utgarde Pinnacle. My first wotlk heroic. Run went pretty well, but I really hate the instance, so the whole time I'm telling the party, my buddies, "I hope the Red Sword of Courage drops off Ymiron so I never have to come back."We get to Ymiron, wipe a couple times. We're frustrated. Two of my friends have to leave for Naxx soon, so we make one last halfhearted attempt. Party is me as tank, druid healer, then three mages.I die. Mages get gibbed instantly. Ymiron rushes to the druid as the druid rebirths me. Druid dies. Ymiron comes to me, nearly dead. ..my weapon breaks. Ymiron then dies to a thunderclap as I'm in super panic mode with all my abilities on cooldown.Sword drops. How twisted is fate to drop the sword only seconds after my own breaks?
My most epic loot was my AQ40 Bug mount. While I only spent about 4 months on the quest to earn it (rep and instance / quest grind) I have wanted the mount since I first stepped foot in AQ40 about 2-3 years ago.Was such a great feeling to finally get it.
Gotta be when i soloed http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=12581#comments:id=490667as a 76 BM Hunter Cranky my gorilla tanked it and speced correctly my mend pets healed him for 1309 a tick. the fight was long as i got BW of 3 times but it was possibly the most epic fight i had ever had.
My most epic loot would be back in BM when we were downing the last boss and the entire group died but me and he was only at like 5%-10% left and I gave it all I had and finished him off. When we looted him he dropped Bloodfire Greatstaff which was an awesome reward for me...I used that up until dailies opened up and got my dagger and off-hand combo.
Hmm my first epic...I think it was back in classic WoW). I remember solo questing in badlands killing some earth elementals that was 5 levels higher then me. While I was drinking some warrior invited me to join his party, because the mob was orange to me I was like hey what the hell why not. Little did I know the next mob that i killed dropped a http://www.wowhead.com/?item=1447. When the roll was done I saw him rolling a 5 so i was like YES I GOT THIS! then I looked under his roll and saw my roll which was a 3 :( and of course he immediately left the party afterwards.
“What was the most epic loot drop you've ever gotten?”Way, way back in time, on my very first character, I was not the most social warrior. I had no guild, very few online buddies, the whole loner works. I ended up getting into a nice little family-style guild (after helping one of them get the arena master trinket), and for my first actual instance run ever with a guild I ran Temple of Atal'Hakkar at level 50. Despite a few rather stupid mistakes (There was water down at the bottom! I thought I'd be able to dive in!) we finished the run up facing Eranikus down and nearly wiping after a bad lag spike on the healer's part. And the Dragon's Call dropped. Now, I was a blacksmith so it's technically not my first EVER epic (but who counts Hammer of Expertise?), but it's the first I had ever seen drop. The rest of the group decided to let me have it, because at the time it was actually an upgrade.I then spent probably three days running around Wetlands smacking down red whelps in a kind of haze trying to get a Tiny Crimson Whelpling......but that's another story altogether.
well, im an avid pet collector and a fan of the green dragon flight, so naturally i had to get my hands on a Tiny Emerald Whelpling. Well prepared for the long weeks of farming ahead, i headed out to swamp of sorrows...only to have it drop on the first kill! I was laughing and smiling for hours :P it was so awesome! Best drop everrrr.

Alcor's Sunrazor. First boe epic I ever saw drop, during a ZG guild run back in the day--I rolled a 100 and sold it for about 1500g.
I am a casual gamer, not the most gold in my bank, so when I had enough to get my epic flyer, that was my epic moment for me. Sorta sad, I know
When i was level 39 on my troll rogue, Dazzling Longsword dropped off a random raptor in STV (right outside the arena). I was so psyched at the time. I definitely elected to use it instead of turning it into gold, because I had never owned an epic and it gave me major pleasure in BGs.Only in retrospect did i realize how ridiculously improbable the drop had been.
My most epic loot moment has to have been this past Tuesday, December 2nd. It was pretty late in the day, around 11 PM server. Currently, our guild is a late-night raiding guild due to the fact that our Guild Master and Raid Leader works until 12 AM EST/server and doesn't get home until about 12:30 AM EST/server. So, I had been running some heroics with a few guildmates and discovered that our DK tank has 4-boxing shamans. To my pleasant surprise, each of them was a miner and had their Titansteel Bar Smelt CD up. The DK said he was a 450 BS and had the Titansteel Guardian recipe. Well, I was currently sporting the Mace of Unrequited Love and, as an Elemental Shaman, the Guardian was quite an upgrade. Now, I had about 1k gold at the time, and no mats. What I ended up doing was buying all the mats, running to people all over Azeroth to get them to pay me back for when I had lent them gold (scrounged up about 500g) and in the end, had the Shammies, my Guild Master (Also a BSmith) and another guildy smelt titansteel bars for me. The DK offered me, free of charge, the saronite bars and the frozen orbs. I then had my Guild Leader make the Mace and immediately I was off and had a friend enchant it with +50 SP. Needless to say, I was ecstatic and couldn't wait to use it in those 25-mans. Throughout the 25-mans, not a single piece of viable Ele Shaman gear dropped. Now, It was about 3:45 AM and we were getting ready to down Maexxna in the Spider Wing of Naxxramas. Thankfully, we 1-shotted Maexxna and everyone moved in for their badges. You have no CLUE how much I freaked out when Wraith Strike dropped. This Fist Weapon is the only caster fist weapon in the game. I rolled against 4 resto shamans and a Boomkin and won this with a 100. If you knew me in-game, you'd know that I'd discovered this weapon weeks ago and had been linking it in guild and to friends, telling them how much I would love to have this weapon. Regardless, I had won this epic loot, one of the best Ele Shaman weapons, and the only Caster Fist Weapon in the game. (On a side note, the entire guild erupted in laughter at the fact that I had scrambled before the raids to get the titansteel guardian made and ended up replacing it 3 1/2 hours later.)
