Dragon's Call on first Shade of Eranikus kill.
The most epic drop that I have ever gotten was very recent when the Drake-Mounted Crossbow dropped off the last boss is Utgarde Keep. It took me like at least 12 tries of full Utgarde Keep Heroic runs before it finally dropped! When I got it, my dps was increased like by two times, I had the Crossbow of Relentless Strikes before, and this was a huge improvement for me. I bragged for about a day. xD

Pre-BC wow, I was raiding with my guild Transcendence of Zul'Jin. We were doing the c'thun fight in AQ40, i DC-ed halfway through phase 1 and ended up dying while offline to a red eye beam. When I came back on, i recieved a battle rez ( druids look out for their own) and continued the play the fight flawlessly. When loot time came about the cloak of clarity was revealed. I no doubt sent a tell for the cloak as it was the best healing cloak at the time. The debate between the officers went on for about 10min with myself and a shaman waiting. After what seemed like forever, i receive a whisper from my druid lead " I hate you". as i'm reading this, over vent "Congratulation Staypuft on the Cloak of Clarity". I was in no way expecting to get the cloak as i was a new recruit and only been raiding with them for about 2 months. This loot did have unexpected repercussions as the shaman waiting for the cloak was severely upset about the decision as he had been in the guild forever and was currently using a blue cloak while i had a purple. The officers clearly told him he wasn't putting effort into getting a new cloak so he didn't deserve to just get one handed to him, whereas i worked hard and long to farm the mats for my Hide of the Wild. That was the most epic loot i had ever received.
My most epic loot ever would probably have to be Baron Rivendare's Deathcharger :PI've been farming it ever since I first got to know of it, after severeal hundred runs I finally got it yesterday (December 4th), and it was just barely :PSee I had been doing strat all day, and I had an appointment with my two brothers and my grand parents, we we're going out eating as we traditionally do every christmas. So, 12 min. before I was supposed to go I decided to go for a speed run, and it started out as the worst damn run ever >_< In my rush I accidentaly pulled two gargoyles, a ghoul pack and a banshee.. %^&*! Oh well, I decided to pull them to a corner and fight on.. And of all the things that could happen I got feared and aggroed a Crypt Fiend which ofc. webbed me (unresistable, no diminishing returns.. gg), so I pulled another two gargoyles and a banshee..By the time I got all the mobs down and went for the Baroness, I had about 5 minutes left.. But I went ahead and killed her and the remaining 2 bosses, along with the ziggurat acolytes.I got to the slaughterhouse and had approx. 2 minutes left.. I gathered up all abominations in the right side and AoE'd them down, then went for the left, took down Ramstein, AoE'd the swarm.. I was already too late when the 6 guards came out.. I had already cast like 5 flame strikes on the stairs, when the door opened I rushed to them, knocked them down as fast as I could and ran into baron's room and finished it :PNot expecting anything but the 3 random blue's I was thrilled when I saw purple text in the loot window.. After all this time.. After 279 runs, I finally got it, and it was all because I sticked to it and finished the instance instead of going when I was supposed to go..After spamming g-chat and prancing around in Dalaran I rushed out the door and to the restaurant.. Needless to say I barely made it in time, panting and sweating xD
I camped the Time-Lost Proto-Drake for 52 hours. Finally got him!
Having Chuck the baby croc drop on my very first fishing daily!
My most epic drop had to be earning the full Field Marshal's Vestments. I was a rogue and so I was into PVP, but it took a ton of BG runs/ World PVP to get enough honor. I know it wasn't even the best armor at the time, but I didn't have the time to raid and it felt awesome to have something that seperated me from the others on the server.
While the Wildfury Greatstaff eventually became one of the most disenchanted items on our SSC raids, BUT when it dropped for me on my first night bear tanking, I was quite excited.
