My most epic loot ever came after about 2 months of farming... back when i was level 60 the best place to farm was tyr's hand, which everyone camped constantly trying to get epics. i was always broke and didn't have much gear being a lvl 60 warrior who doesn't tank, so no guild for me and no epics = i sold it for about 600 gold and was able to aford my epic mount after some donations from my friends.
Most epic loot I've ever gotten... I've never really experienced raiding and haven't gotten any of the real cool items, so thus far that coolest item I think I've ever gotten was probably when I finally got the stormchops off of the cooking daily. If for nothing more then the sheer amusement factor of running around zones and watching critters drop dead randomly from the shock's 'pulse' effect, for lack of a better way of putting it.
Probably The Darkener's Grasp. With my guild we went to TK to get the "Hand of A'dal" title before wotlk come out.It was the last time we could go cuz on the next week was the realese of the expansion. So we killed kael, and im crossed my fingers for the orb.Ive had the necklace from Ahune back then so i realy wanted to win it.I won with a 99 roll, one of my other guild m8 rolled 97, he was angry a bit. :DSo anyway, this is my Epic Loot Drop.
The most epic drop has to be the Time-Los proto drake I have spent the last week and a half camping keeping up with every spawn for days and days lurking slowly around Storm Peaks with minimal luck then BAM!Glad me from the future at least has it :( *still sitting on his rock waiting, 60~ hours into the hunt*
My best was when levelling my level 28 priest at Scarlet Monestery. I would double screen WOW on my 2 accounts and pair her with my main, then a level 70 mage. In the same day she picked up what I think are the 2 earliest purples in the game: the fiery war axe in the Armory and the Deadman's Hand, a ring, in the library.Woot. what a day. The axe, which is bind on equip, is still waiting for a hunter of mine to be ready for it. The ring has saved her skin a number of times.
My most epic battle ever was probably in the Un'Goro Crater when I Cheap Shotted a Parrot(one fo the critters there) and then pulled a bunch of other mobs when my stealth broke. I killed a few mobs, but died... After checking the Combat tab, it said that the parrot was the one that landed the killing blow... What a way to die...
back a few years ago when I started playing wow I was exploring the joy of addons, I opened up atlas loot and scroled down to the "legendary items" section and i saw that there was a legendary staff with four diffrent types, i then moused over and saw that there was a staff for druids! i was enthralled and ever since then i had done everything posible to try to obtain the staff I even attempted to raised my brood rep the old fashiond way... mmmm hours wasted lol. just about three months before the expansion to WoTLK came out I was finaly able to get a group together for naxx 40 , on the very first boss a splinter droped , i was soo overjoyed i nearly through my computer accros the room out of excitement..... lol. after the run i only obtained 2 splinters out of the 40 i needed, and now there is no known way of geting the staff but i hope there soon will be ( prays). even though im decked out in epics from head to toe the most epic drop i have ever gotten were those splinters.
My most epic drop would have to be the time in ZA where a tank friend of mine and myself were just starting the run, and after me letting him get the helmet from Malacrass in a previous run. He decided to repay my kindness by letting me get the Chestguard of the Warlord which drops from Zul'jin. After we ran the whole place flawlessly, I have to say that that run has to be my favorite Zul'aman raid for loot and simple fun that I have ever done.
Benediction for me ^^ Took me around 5 weeks to complete the quest line back when it would only spawn once every half day or so. I'd finally given up when a few friends offered to come help act as meatshields for the skeletal guards. Nearly cried when I completed it and finished the final staff; it's still in my bank xD 3 years later.
