I'm beyond disgusted. Forced to do covenant stuff to fly, and people will be coming back to wow on final patch only to find everyone fly tagging/mining/herbing while you are stuck on the ground dealing with mobs you can't even kill due to having low ilvl.
What if you switch covenants? Do you lose the Renoun? Instantly lose flying?
How will that effect switching Covenants? Do you have to complete start over Pathfinder if you switch?

‘Covenant stuff’ isn’t a side thing in SL, it’s the core of everything you do. You’ll likely gain renown from most activities. And they said that there will be catchup available from the start. So if you take a break, it probably won’t take you long to get flying. And if you do decide to take a break then you don’t really deserve to be instantly caught up to people who kept playing. People who take a break shouldn’t just be handed higher ilvl and flying. Though based on previous patches there’s likely to be gear tokens to catch up ilvl.
"Flying sometime after the start of the expansion".This is a big turn off for me, let us get flying on day one and not a year into the expansion. Your so called "carrot on a stick" trick to make me subscribed until it's released won't work for me.
The TLDR seems to be pathfinder wont be based on rep it will be based on the new thing that's basically rep with a different name
Honestly, the problem is the length of time waiting for pathfinder to activate, not what has to be done to activate it. We had to wait eleven months in BfA for flying. It was stupid. I didn't experience anything new that I hadn't already experienced in the ten months past when I got Pathfinder part 1. Renown, rep, whatever. Just don't make us wait that long for it once we've experienced the content.
