Today's Shadowlands Patch 9.2.5 build includes a brand new music track composed by Russell Brower and Derek Duke.
Highborne
is very familiar to the song
Sunstrider Night 2
, also composed by Brower, and featured in Eversong Woods during the Burning Crusade.
Compare it to Sunstrider Night 1 / 2 and you'll notice several familiar notes and tones, particularly the cello, though it's a bit faster than the new version's more somber tone.

Maybe it's for a little tie in for Sylvanas novel like the graveyard for Before the Storm?

Its worth noting the new track is roughly the length that allied race intros typically are. :)
We won't get high Elves.. because we already have them. Blood Elves are literally High Elves who changed their name to honour their dead and left the Alliance.
There are only a handful of Elves that call themselves 'High' Elves left on Azeroth.
If they gave us an allied race of them, the number of people playing them would vastly outnumber the actual numbers of remaining 'High' Elves in the lore.
If you want to play a High Elf, play a Blood Elf, because they are High Elves.
High Elf society has practically faded into antiquity now. It makes no sense to make them an allied race.

Everything is Allied Race -ish today, I guess. We already have High Elves if using the correct customizations. We won't get "real" High Elves.
People don't understand, after all these years, that they are already there - even before we got Void Elves or new customization options. Sheesh.
Blood Elves are literally High Elves who changed their name to honour their dead and left the Alliance.
There are only a handful of Elves that call themselves 'High' Elves left on Azeroth.
The rest (and the vast, vast majority) of the 'High' Elves are now called Blood Elves. they're the exact same race.
If anybody wants to play a High Elf, then they'll need to play a Blood Elf... because they are High Elves.
High Elf society, as it was, is all but extinct now.

Brower is so good. Warcraft AND Epcot? Oh man.
If he's that good, he won't be fired.
