The allegations surrounding Activision Blizzard are hitting more than just World of Warcraft, as several corporate sponsors of the Overwatch League are rethinking their relationships, following the investigation and
lawsuit filed by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing
. So far, T-Mobile and State Farm insurance have removed their advertisements from Overwatch League matches, as well as the Overwatch League talk show
, pending a reevaluation of their partnerships.
Ads such as this were run during previous Overwatch League match broadcasts, but have now been removed pending reevaluation of their relationship.
The Washington Post
, a spokesperson for State Farm said the insurance provider is “reevaluating our limited marketing relationship with the Overwatch League” and the company has requested that “no advertisements run during the matches this weekend.” Similarly, a spokesperson for Coca-Cola said Wednesday that the company is “aware of the allegations surrounding Activision Blizzard,” and that they’ve been closely monitoring the situation, although they have not been removed from the
Overwatch League's partners page
just yet. The spokesperson for Coca-Cola declined to comment on whether Coca-Cola would continue to sponsor the Overwatch League, the statement reads “We are working with our partners at Blizzard as we take a step back for a moment to revisit future plans and programs." Somewhat interestingly, Activision Blizzard CEO
Bobby Kotick is also a Director of The Coca-Cola Company
, elected to the
Company's Management Development Committee in 2012
Also a sponsor of the Call of Duty League, the New York Subliners covered the T-Mobile logo on their Jerseys with duct tape during last week's
Elimination Round against the Los Angeles Thieves
, and the company is no longer listed as a partner on either league’s website.

With the current status of T-Mobile, State Farm, and Coca-Cola unknown, Xfinity, IBM, Cheez-Its, Pringles, and TeamSpeak are now the five remaining Overwatch League sponsors.
