ARATHI HIGHLANDS CAMPAIGN

While attentions have been focused on Khaz Algar, a new storm is brewing in the Arathi Highlands. Tensions are rising between the Horde and Alliance; join Faerin and Danath as they attempt to quell the rising tides of hostility between the two factions in a new multi-quest campaign. You’ll get to experience this new two-chapter storyline with branching viewpoints for each faction as you play through.

Players will receive a few new rewards for their efforts:

Alliance: Stromgarde Tabard
Horde: Mag’har Tabard
Shoulder Transmog inspired by Faerin’s own pauldrons.

Two chapters? Guess I'll play when both are completable.

this expansion should've been called 'the arathi within'

The campaign was doable on 1st day when PTR was up and I did that then.

Wish they finally fixed the Drop for Nightfall Darkcaster's Cloak
It drops only from rares, and "purple" cloth set can not be completed without it =/

I'm not the only one who upon hearing "inspired by Fearin's shoulders" at first thought of the other shoulder, the one with the cool shoulder mounted shield, right?

Look, I immediately knew it wasn't going to be that, but there was still a small sliver of hope for Blizzard to surprise me. They do this sometimes nowadays.

Is the writing team really that creatively bankrupt that they had to hit the 'Horde and Alliance are mad at each other, and have to be given a 1-minute pep talk about peace and getting along, only to immediately start working together after that' button for the 246th time? Blizzard, stop. Just don't touch faction war storylines ever again, your track record has been atrocious, so speedrunning yet another rehashed faction conflict arc in two story chapters will just highlight the absurdity of it.

The writers really need to take inspiration from real life wars if they are to write faction war properly. I think they forget that they are writing for a FICTIONAL universe and can therefore do literally anything they want, but instead write in the most boring, atrocious way possible.

Unfortunately for you, every single transmog item in the game is fitted onto a human male model first and foremost before it is adjusted for every race after that.

Its a tabard. Its already adjusted. They could have shown it on an upright Orc.

Nice emblem on the Alliance tabard, but a bit of a shame the Horde one is another red-ish tabard with the Horde symbol. How many does that make now?

its just the default model they use to show off the items better.

These mini patches really suck! Barely any content or reward but only time gate to keep hamsters running on wheel.

Not enough!

“Hmmm could we try a more rage-like red tint with …I don’t know… maybe the horde symbol? The one from before the second war”
“-my lord is one of sophisticated taste.”

You know maybe all faction in wars just need Metzen to remind them they are all brothers and sisters in the real fight: chaos, emptiness and corruption .

“Indians, Pakistaneses you are all part of the same humanity fighting poverty ! It’s a fight for life, for friendship !”
“- … okay… we will share the river and will exchange police informations to arrest criminals. No need to harass us with the friendship talk.”

You know what ship never sink ?

A friendship.

Don't worry, it's a continuation of the absolute garbage novel they released a while ago and exactly just as bad of a story as you can imagine it would be.
