New Ping System Functionality, Tutorial Image, and Mouse Icons Added in 10.1.7

Tutorial & Mouse Cursors

Top Left depicts the new simple press and release ping at mouse cursor functionality.

Top Right shows the press and hold ping mouse wheel for selecting a different type of ping.

Bottom Right depicts how pinging UI frames will ping the specific target in-game.

Bottom Left is a bit less straight forward but likely shows how pings also show up in chat as shown below.

PING SYSTEM

There are now two modes to activate the ping wheel, removing the need to click and drag the mouse to select pings:

Press and releasing the hotkey will trigger a ping at mouse position.
Press and holding the hotkey will trigger the radial wheel at the position the hotkey was originally pressed.

Ping chat lines are now available for Text-to-Speech.

This type of ping system is a huge step forward in the base game with no addons for accessibility. The part of the community that needs to give feedback most on these are those hard of hearing, IMO. Deaf guilds, is this stuff good for you? Can it be better?

If it's good, then that's one step closer to a world where nerfing addon access will only impact the small 1% audience that it's intended to without hurting the "little guy". Remember, the reason WeakAuras runs wild isn't because Blizzard loves it, It's because they can't nerf addon access without hurting the accessibility of the game...
