Are half the negative nancy's here players who are geared enough for 10s or even do them? The change, (imo) is w/e. 3 blue or 3 red. It doesn't matter. Imo, (saying) that the tank is forced to move in order to clear their stacks is.... Not entirely accurate? Long as the tank is the only one with a mark, it doesn't matter what mark it is. It won't do anything. Plus forcing the tank to move in order to clear, did I miss something? Are DPS and heals incapable of doing this for the tank? I don't, personally, see the issue we had to begin with that warranted a change. On top of that, this affix is one of the easier ones. (Much better than faceless ones in N'Zoth patch imo) There is no extra clearing, just pay attention to the mark DBM assigns and clear it before it expires.
Swirlies sanguine storms frontals ghost-reclaiming explosives... AND thundering affix to clear. This is mental torture. This is not fun or exciting.
I think they are dumbing it down too much. M+ is supposed to be a challenge.
Previous affixes mainly affected the trash or the beginning of a boss fight, like in SL. They were predictable, and not the random crap we have now. Many bosses you are spread out, or you have ranged baiting mechanics, so it does become super annoying having to randomly come together when you have big AOEs around you, or when the ground is already covered with different stuff, and now you have more on-ground swirlies that stun you. At least two bosses have mechanics where they "suck you in", like the last bosses in NO and AA, which cleares people's debuffs, but sometimes it doesn't FOR SOME WEIRD REASON. They should at least remove this from boss fights. On trash it's whatever, you can release most of the time, but on bosses, it becomes too punishing and annoying to deal with. Sure, it's doable, but if you play the game by pugging, it's been more frustrating than ever. You always get that one person who doesn't want to clear because they want to do more damage for 3 seconds, and now you have to run somewhere else to clear...
And people still refuse to stop using blue as a tank marker.
