Its cool the Ox keeps its lighning effect, I still wish that wolf from old Vale kept the sword in its mouth

Funny how after a demonic expansion, warlocks didn't receive any model updates. (Don't come with the glyphs, +5 years ago is sad)

There's the buff that BM hunters asked for...

Ngl I’m pretty disappointed about the Maw Wyverns dudes and the necrolord flies not being tamable.

Warlock pets received updated models in Legion actually. If you meant new demons, there were three that I can recall, summoned by new spells, same expansion. I suppose they could add them on a 'permanent' basis via cosmetic glyphs instead of temporary summons.

Other than that I'm not sure what you're asking for, there certainly aren't enough demon types to warrant a warlock pet overhaul on the scale of hunter pets, and unfortunately the chance to do that was during Legion. It would've softened the blow of DH getting several Demo Lock abilities, for sure.

I can finally tame one of those awesome red crystal scopions!

Spirit Beasts are no longer that great. No reason to have new ones.

They always will be. Spirit mend is the best thing, especially when soloing. Carry along some drums and you're golden.
Spirit beast or no, hunter dps will be high if played correctly.

How can you even say sth. stupid like that ? Every 9.1 log proves otherwise. Hunters dps isn`t "high". Not in ST, not in AoE, not in AoE burst.
In 9.1 warlocks will spread 3-4 seeds of corruption and do double hunters damage - in every aoe situation. Without any effort.
Nearly every class out-dps hunter on ptr. Be it m+ or raids, ST or AoE.
Even the "legendary" bow is only like 4-5% of your total damage in a high aoe dungeon. Some new trinkets do nearly the same amount of damage.

So please tell me - where will hunters dmg be "high" ? Right now all hunter specs are considered to be at the bottom - and sv is on top.

You`ll be lucky to have a mythic raid spot when you craft the 10% crit legendary for kyrians - to buff the real dds.

Impressive!

One question: Will the cloud serpents be in their own family as a ferocity exotic pet, and dread ravens and rocs in theirs as a tenacity pet, or would that be a bit too crazy?

Nah if you wanna be "optimal" the best pet for soloing is Clefthoof; every BM hunter should have one for Torghast, it's a game changer. Blood of the rhino/Thick hide/leech passive/Bloodlust. It's perfect, unless you favour the MS on Tenacity pets for easy stuff (mainly old content runs).

But you are totally right Spirit Beasts are useful; they're by far the best pet for raid/M+ because a good hunter should be using the heal on allies too.

The only other pet group that matters is the mortal wound pets for PVP, preferably raptors.

This is all talking optimal of course; use what you want if the content your doing doesn't need to be tryharded :P

Still no Soul Eaters, huh, despite Maw crossbowmen using them as pets? I suppose they'd require their own pet family, and that takes more than a little work to implement. Though I guess they could fit in the Warp Stalker, Lizard, or some other reptilian family? Not sure if they use a Warp Stalker rig or not, but it looks like it.

Too bad it doesn't matter so much in the end, considering your options for viable pets in each setting are very narrow. In PvP, for instance, it's a Tenacity MS pet or bust. At least Hunters in past xpacs had more variety to choose from. In WotLK, for example, MS pets like Ravagers were the go-to, but you could also roll with a Spider or Crab for the CC they provided.

Would be nice if the spec of the pet was included assuming most are tenacity...
What about the Aquilon? (Please be spirit or ferocity) and the raptor is ferocity?

Can someone tell me what "change of color" means with thunderhorn. He appears blond ingame for me but I like the greyish fur on here.
