In all seriousness lorebreaking skin colours should not be in the game. Takes away from a race's uniqueness rather than adding to it. The high/blood elves' signature identifier among all elves is their fair skin colour. If you make them have dark skin(which do exist but are undead darkfallen..) you might as well remove all elf races and just merge them into one. Same with dwarves, who live atop mountains and in cold climates. Dark Iron Dwarves have dark skin because they're literally living in a raging inferno.
Oh wow there's a silver tone. That'll look real nice with the new darker skin tones. The tattoos overall look great; loving the new hair colors as well.
Got to thank Wowhead for all work they're doing to get us a early view on these customisation. Thanks so much guys you're legends for doing this :)
I love these, thank you wowhead. Now I need to level a female dwarf! WHEN WILL WE GET TO SEE NEW HAIRSTYLES? <3
Good god that's a lot of options. Dwarves are the fashion divas of WoW, confirmed. Also, something feels off about the darkest skin for male dwarves here. Like, it doesn't look as well made as the other dark skins. Am I just seeing things?
After the Blood Elf post... I worry for the Wowhead moderators...In other news, never been a fan of dwarves myself, but WOW look at all those options! I'm really glad so many of these options are being made available for players. This gets me really hype for Forsaken, Trolls, and Draenei (just to name a few).
Bored during quarantine eh?
I'm not sure I understand the easter egg tattoo on his stomach, but otherwise I love it.
I don't think i've ever seen a bald dwarf woman, is that even an option currently? They look kinda hot with no hair and tats, ngl :P
Black High Elves isn’t lorebreaking. It’s really weird because we’ve never seen it or even THOUGHT of it but Chronicle Volume 1 only has 1 thing to say about the change from Night to High Elf. “After being exiled from the Well it Eternity, the High-borne began to feel the effects of aging and disease. Their skin had even lost its violet hue, and they had begun to shrink in stature.” Page 118, paragraph four, line 1.Hell even the Blood Elf demon hunters have different skin colour options, not as drastic but they’re there.Considering humans lived across the Eastern Kingdoms and have multiple different skin colours they all originated from the same place. If we’re going to be realistic there wouldn’t be any different skin colours in the same nation of humans if they all had the same ancestors from the same region. In fantasy it’s a fan service and nothing more. We will get used to it.
I love seeing people pull insane mental gymnastics to try not to appear racist and say everything is "lore reasons"
