First Russia now China? Who will pay for a game?
Would love to see Microsoft's take on all this, seeing as how they're trying to finish out the purchase sometime next year (they could probably speed it up at least a little if they'd just ask why (insert whichever European countries it is that are being difficult) didn't seem to have any complaints about Sony buying multiple big-name game companies, and if it's so bad for the industry, why isn't Nintendo complaining along side Sony). Because 3% of whatever the huge number is will still be probably 10's if not 100's of millions of dollars, and you'd think they want a say in all this. Unless they already have. At which point players (and stock owners) deserve the transparency.
that reminds me of pirates of the caribbean 4, where the german VA for Jack Sparrow didnt come to an agreement with the film makers and so a different voice was used, completely ruining the movie which wasnt that great to begin with. A lesson was learned back then to watch movies in original voice over instead.I dont see how a lesson can be learned though xD
Oh no POOR Blizzard, and their greedy leader ship, and also my thoughts go out to the poor Investors, that is going to take a MAJOR hit to the money, so unfair to those rich f...For me personally, can't care less.. Only thing I'm afraid off is that next WoW Expansion will then be like 200€ and monthly sub will go up to 25€ because the greedy just cant stand losing money.
Good! Seems Bob-the-goblin is really leaving.More companies should dissociate from dictatorships.
this sucks for the chinese, and asian player base of the area, i hope both companies can agree in the points eventually.
People keep saying money and stuff and I am sure that is a lot of it, but another reason is probably policies as well. With more widespread 'inclusion' the Chinese Government probably wants nothing to do with it. Other Asian countries are the same way, but not as bad as China and North Korea. China has blocked many things from releasing in China and it is because of the government. Like how the blocked an expansion for Battlefield 3 or Battlefield 4 in the past because it was 'harmful to national security'.
Sooo... do we get their unique mounts/pets/toys now?
I hope the chinese players don't now all flock to FFXIV or other MMOs, tainting it with their unsportsmanlike behaviour.(Speaking generally, not all Chinese are like this, before the political correct crowd gets at me)
I honestly felt sorry for the Chinese players at first because WoW is just such a large time sink. That was until I remembered that both Chromie and Pelagos are transgender so, I can see their government opposing that.
But how is this going to affect the price of gold
Damn. That means I'm going to lose my in-game friends in China :(
