At the end of the day they're just killing a bunch of pixels, who gives a #$%^. I think this kind of thing contributes to perceived elitism in the game, along with things like the mythic plus scoring etc. Would love to see a return to basics in a true sequel to world of Warcraft. Back to adventuring, back to relatable stakes.Comment by MorodrimI've always liked the race to world first...before it became The Race to World First (tm). I find the whole esport aspect of wow to be obnoxious and seems to be a major conrtibutor to the underlying toxic culture that exists in the game. I don't find this captivating at all and maybe give it a "oh neat" when a guild finally clears. The whole deal just feels like astro-turfed enthusiasm that only a small percentage of the player base actually cared about.

But anyway, I don't get why Blizzard would want to nerf this encounter at all. The biggest complaint over the years has been that the top guilds clear the hardest content too quickly. So now that we have an encounter that's taking possibly two resets to get down, there's talks of having it nerfed? Why? If the end boss can't be defeated unless everyone is 636, then that sounds great to me. Include a stacking buff/debuff over the course of the season to make it easier for the rest of us peasants when we finally catch up. I think that's how it should be: that the loot you get from earlier in the zone is required to defeat the harder difficulty encounters in the latter part of the zone.Comment by Zakrao

Noone is actually following their hundreds or even tens of attempts cos that #$%^ is pointless and not entertaining in the slightest.

Just people wanting to fanboy one or the other team as if either of said teams care about them in the least or the final outcome matters in the slightest.

When I picked up WoW, I didn't go to websites "omg who is the world first of all the raids!"
and to be fair, I'll never care
No new player really does.

I think it shouldn't be doable until a few weeks into the season due to math.
