The solution for Necrotic is to make it max out at 50% or something. It's already punishing enough to be under a constant 50% reduction, like, stop trying to make Necrotic good, it's an awful affix that no one likes dealing with.
As a blood death knight, I find this nerf completely unnecessary. Necrotic is an affix that separates those who know how to play their class from those who don't.
While I welcome any nerf to this affix I would have prefered a % nerf to the stacks instead so you don't have to run away 10 seconds into a pull. I don't mind having to kite a bit to reset stacks and it also promotes teamwork. The main issue is how frequently you need to kite. Especially with how insanely fast some mobs hit, like the serpents in Spires
Still think this would have been better if they went with the original nerf to reduce it to one stack every two swings instead of every swing, but I'll take any nerfs to Necrotic I can get.
Make it a magical effect again so that Anti-Magic Shell can be used to immune it. As it stands it still disproportionately affects Death Knights.
They wouldn't. They'd just move onto complaining about something else, hell I'm pretty sure some already have.
It should be nerfed to 4seconds but i'll take anything at this point... necrotic is cancer in gaming form.

I also disagree with the change. The necrotic affix needs to be redesigned in a way that kiting is not mandatory. For instance make only certain NPCs in a pack apply the debuff and make the debuff deadlier. Similar but not identical to the Inspiring affix. That opens multiple strategies to interact with the affix like CC/stunlock/burst down/use DRs to succeed.And it will still be sufficiently different from Inspiring, as the latter makes surrounding NPCs difficult, while Necrotic makes the empowered NPC the most difficult part of the pull instead.
I dont think that nerfing an affix that is just bad by design was a good way to deal with this issue. The problem with necrotic is that tanks have to kite, no matter what. This has nothing to do with how skilled of a kiter you are, or if your group uses CCs to help you kiting or not, in the end you still have to kite and this is just unfun for the majority of tanks. This change will help tanks alot to lose their stacks and probably even allow them to fail a kite and still manage to lose stacks after all without wiping the group and depleting the key, but they will still have to kite constantly, there is just no other way around it. So unfortunately the unfun part of this affix (unfun for most players anyways) will still be part of this affix - which is kinda sad. Affixes shouldnt be designed to be unfun, they should be designed to be challenging.
