That's rough, but better to overestimate it than to underestimate it and have to tack on more time.

I'm not 100% ignorant, used to work in some server deployment in a previous life (not on the scale of Blizz), but I never understood these long periods of "patch". You've supposedly tested this patch in the test environment. In most likelihood after testing internally, you've already put the data on the production servers, and come patch time you comment out to load the new code and reboot. I'm for sure no genius but why does it still take 8 hrs to load up a .0.5 patch on anything? Unless you've not tested your %^&*?
To be expected tho of a big patch of changes like this tho. so many new additions and features to the game its like a tier 2 patch of DF.

Surely this means they're releasing a surprise new Mega Dungeon to justify the downtime!
I'm glad that I'm waiting for more content that sounds appealing right. I'm sure that even if I did play, I'd have to settle on playing around 9pm, and I'd probably have to submit a bug report or two.
