Blizz should find a solution for remakes, it's really annoying from viewers perspective.
Really like to know what guilds all these teams are from. Were the casters deliberately avoiding it or what?Unless you're already up on some of the region/player specific info (e.g. who Marsy is - and where those players went after), it's really not obvious where all these groups are from.I have no idea who's who in the EU scene, limited awareness of the US, and zero awareness of China... so being able to at least tie groups to a raid guild would help provide some background. Most sports love to tell you all about the players' backstory, but not MDI.
What happened to Limit was ridiculous, but what burned me was watching Method NA turn around and run Limit's LKara route on their remake. To say that was unsportsmanlike is an understatement. As much as I appreciate Jdotb's mythic+ advice here each week, I'm really looking forward to watching the EU teams stomp Method NA next month.
All those analyses and Mittbitt's 1-2 sentence responses, LOL.
Well, it's not like Method NA actually called for the remake. Sounds like it was Blizzard that made the call, based on them actually having a replay available to explain the reason for the remake to the viewers/casters (which they didn't have for most of their other remakes from other matches, that were clearly called for by the teams).
One blaring issue which I am disappointed was not mentioned or discussed is the problem with "Racial Abilities".This current MDI really pointed out the blaring issue of the unfair advantage that racial abilities give certain races/factions in the MDI.. For example how the Blood Elves' Arcane Torrent ability grants the Horde an excessive amount of interrupts which trivializes many of the mechanics in Mythic Plus, which teams of other races aren't able to interrupt due to the limited number of interrupts available to them. i.e. on Medivh in Upper Karazhan, a normal team is only able to interrupt his Frostbite ability. but a team of Blood Elves not only can interrupt his frostbites, but also his inferno bolts and his arcane channels, Which trivializes the encounter and allows this team to bypass mechanics that other race teams (especially Alliance) must endure.I believe that Racials should be disabled in M+, or especially in eSport competitions.. No team should have an unfair advantage over another or be forced to play certain races and adhere to cookie cutter race builds. Would be nice to see more than a majority of Horde and certain races at the MDI.Overall, racials should be disabled in all High End-game and competitive content (i.e. Mythic Raiding, Mythic +15 and higher, and Rated PvP), so competitive players aren't forced to transfer factions/races or suffer the consequence of having a disadvantage compared to other similarly skilled players.Unfortunately unless if these MDI players speak out about it, and request or demand Blizzard to do something about it.. this will remain a thing for years to come. So this is why I am disappointed that these players who are in a position to shed light on the situation and create change, squander the chance to do so.
