The % of the current pull was such a nice QoL feature while tanking. I miss it a lot. It was easier to correct a route when the unexpected happens when I didn't have to do a ton of mousing over various mobs to glance at count/% and then do a bunch of addition on the fly. Interrupt / CD tracker was nice. I'm not too uncomfortable without it. Organized groups require a bit more comms, pugs... they don't kick or plan CDs anyway so it was pretty much just sitting there as decorative UI "all the pugs are sending CDs on cooldown and their kicks are off CD the whole run because they don't touch them! Great info!" rofl.
There wouldn't even be all this addon drama if blizzard just let you easily see what you want to see and be able to block out the rest. That's gotta be like 95% of what people do with addons and how they used WA. Like we don't need to see 50 buffs in the top corner of our screens, we need to see one buff near the center of our screen and to see if our teammates have a kick available. This game is all overwhelming mechanics, rotation and information on your screen. It's insane there hasn't been a stock way to see important buffs separately from the entirely useless buff bar until recently.
the base UI is ugly, clunky, and has too much unneeded information while making necessary info one would need for healing inaccessible.dudes who play with base UI also live in an apartment with bare white walls, a lawn chair, and a tray table for their Laptop or just have their PC sitting on the carpet under their walmart plywood desk.
Does the Wowhead article writer live under a rock? All of these things are already available as AddOns for the regular Andy. Blizzi Interrupt Tracker, BigWigs for Pull Count/Progress to name two.
"Secret numbers? Hah! Not for us..."So the functionality is still there, and they just barred it for everyone with petty excuses.
Do you guys also ask for fog of war to be removed in Starcraft because you can see the entire map on tournament streams?
blizz needs to give up on their war against addons. They can't make better. Just let us have options. Being able to track my own hots/dots on a target should not be "secret"..
