oh i like THESE
Lowkey happy about those boots. So much painted-on fur in the game, it's nice to see some with actual 3d detail.
That gun and those mounts! <3333333333 Also I need black evening gloves, please.
That tanaris set description probably confirms a sort of old world revamp.
Ooh, we're getting Grombrindal's Axe
The cost on most of these is TOO MUCH for what little currency we get each month.
I think I have about 6,000 tenders that haven't really been anything to use them on so far.So hopefully there will be a cool mount so that some of them can be used.and please set the price for mount 2500-3000 tenders so that they become a bit unique
Time to pull out the CC boiis, lmao.
Does anyone feel like the Trading Post is the transition to WoW becoming free to play? We have WoW token for gold and now we have the in-game cosmetics shop with its own currency. Also they started offering Tendies for real money. Blizzcon will be interesting.
That one armor set had plates on the boots just below the knees. Wonder if this is a change or and unfinished versioncause I saw the same set datamined a while back. I hope not cause I really do like the Wastewander Transmog set.
Player like trading post because it's free cosmetics, but how much value have a free item? how much have you invested to get it? it's only fomo guys, also this is a test to see how would you like to have a battle pass in a game you paid for and you pay a sub for, and we will fail the test, it's basic psychology.
They could indeed make some of these obtainable through regular gameplay. For example we could have gotten one of these cool mounts for participating in turbulent timeways event instead of that boring looking ray.
Why they not bring them IG as a quest or as a something else reward?
Cool that they're adding so many neat things. If only they could attach them to interesting ingame acquisition methods, like questlines and events.
The British Olympic cycling team had its glory days thanks to the principle of Marginal Gains - small improvements that didn't make much difference on their own, but all added to bring home many gold medals.WoW is now employing the same principle, BUT not only is it making positive Marginal Gains in terms of QoL and diversity, it's also making ongoing and frequent minor changes in more debatable areas:FOMO (as seen in the way the Trading Post is evolving and open-world events are designed).Player engagement outside of the actual game (i.e. Amazon and Twitch tie-ins).Removing the traditionally grindy challenges of certain in-game rewards (e.g. nerfing the Love Rocket drop rate, adding recolours of other low drop-rate mounts to casual content).Eliminating faction hostilities (no faction warmode PvP worth speaking of, cross-faction play in most areas of game).Softening the edges of the game in general (the DF trend of moving content away from edgier PG-13 themes towards PG or U rated cutesey content).Dumbing down of story (less allegory, more direct moralising).Individually, the many small changes make little difference on their own, but overall they add up to a notable change in the attitudes of the game design and most likely a change in the intended player base. My thought is that Blizzard feels the OG WoW ethos is no longer fit for purpose, and that the original target audience of WoW is no longer a priority in terms of player retention. WoW is in an ongoing period of soft reboot where monetisation is no longer purely sub and token based, and where content is toned down so that its market is as broad as possible. The big question is whether or not Blizz intends to remove the sub completely in the near future.
