I don't understand why people are so obsessed over the maximum reward requirements. No one is forcing anyone to do all 9 checkpoints btw.
1/4/10 is really good. Nobody forces you to do 10 everytime. Dunno why people won't stop crying
For anyone commenting things like: "Everyone just wants everything for little work." should try to understand one thing. it's not the work that'st he problem. It's the time requirements that is the problem. First, not everyone who likes doing M+ has a set guild or friend group to do them all with. Even if each dungeon takes 30 minutes to complete if done right, the pugs have to add search time, travel time due to pugs wanting summons instead of running, and add a little more time for pugs failing.because no matter your IO score, someones going to screw the key up. Equating to 9+ hours a week just to have their choice of three items. Raiders only have to spend 6 hours, at the bottom end of skill, tops(and Mythic progression guilds can easily clear heroic in 3) and PvP even less. Even at 10 dungeons, you're still looking at 5+ hours of play time minimum for that ONE extra option. It's not even remotely about not wanting to put in the effort. It's the reward vs time investment. And that's not even counting the players that are trying to help their guild by having multiple toons for multiple roles. Adding that, you're asking people to spend their entire week doing nothing but M+ to battle the rng in order to feel like your "effort" on a single character feels special...On top of that, another issue is the reward structure, it's based on lowest key in that set. Which means you're going to have to spend that 5+ hours at your lowest high level before you can even think about helping a low geared friend or guildy through any. Though I can see how it would be difficult to figure out the best solution to the issue. You don't want to let players do their highest key and spam 0's and 1's to finish out the vault, but you can't punish people for helping their friends. So, as I proposed last time, a 50% meter should work. That way you'ld only need to do 5 +10's or +15's giving you that much more freedom to help others while not entirely hurting yourself.
I think people should realize it will never be like 1/2/3 because this is not supposed to be filled by everyone, it's an option, bonus. And last tier specifically is for those who specialize in that area. You won't be able to get 10 raid boss kills if you don't regularly raid, at least not 10 on the same difficulty as I'm expecting you will need 10 hc+ bosses to get hc quality loot offered in that tier, just like for M+ key level. You will not get 10 high mythic dungeons if you don't focus on that area and do a lot of M+ pushing. Then there are of course people without life who will be doing all of them, but most people will focus on the most efficient ones or the ones they fit their play style. It's a bit annoying how so many people in WOW always expect to get everything and complain if it looks like they won't be able to.
1,4 and 10 dungeons. Now that is way better! I wouldn't mind if it went down to 1,3 and 5. Gotta think about the casual players or those who don't have as much time for mythic dungeons.
can someone explain how this works? if for examble i've done 5 dungeons, i get 2 choices? but then, how the item level is determined? i am a bit confused.....
For someone who wants to do the most they can, being lowered to 4/10 is a lot more manageable. If conquest happens like it does now, that number for pvp is really harsh. Because if you take battlegrounds out of the picture, horde has dominated world pvp all BFA. And more guilds have gone from alliance to horde, so its only going to get worst. People talk about faction assaults, that is a BFA thing, and Blizzard is probably going to make those not reward conquest with WM on - since they want you to do SL content for SL rewards not past expansions.
The original annoucement was that we would get some choices FOR FREE to tone down the RNG frustration of the current design, as in "do your weekly M+ run, get 2 or 3 choices". It seems Blizzard is once again turning it into another way to make us play more.Plus by merging the pvp chest with this they are actually nerfing the rewards of these who do both M+ and PvP.
Still the requirement ist onyl to kill raid bosses. So it seems that raid finder and normal raids will also count and ok raid finder can be more difficult than myhtic depending on the raid group but most times it should work. :-)
Hope it's like in Legion and WoD with the Items we got from Missiontables"Kill x bosses on y difficulty and you get a reward with a y difficulty itemlevel" Maybe kill 6 bosses in mythic and you get a mythic-item from your raidchoices? Something like that
I really don't understand why people want this to be harsh and are making hyperboles of wanting everything without effort. Getting to 15 keys will be really rough when SL hits already. Equal to raid progression imo. And I'm totally fine with this and wouldn't want that part to change. What I'm looking at is the whole expansion timeline of 2 years of running the same dungeons each patch. Which don't really change unlike raid tiers. And a bit of rng protection which is a big thing for me in terms of what was promised for SL. Same as alt friendliness. These are both things that Blizzard promised not something I would have assumed out of thin air. This system is definitely not alt friendly. Getting even 2 chests on a couple characters each week is not going to be fun for 2 years of same dungeons. I don't want more items, it's not about that. But getting rid of this current funk of getting rings / legs / you name it week in week out would be nice. My "main" still hasn't seen a weapon drop from weekly chest in the 30+ chests I've opened in 8.3. It's called the box of disappointments for a reason. And getting 2 options won't necessarily change that but I'd feel better about my chances if that happened and it'd keep me better motivated. Because ultimately this game lives or dies with people having fun and being motivated to play it.The big headache of m+ is also that the dungeons don't change. Nor can we realistically (imo) expect to get more than 2-3 new dungeons during the expansion lifetime. For raids it at least changes every tier
As a Feral Druid, I'll be lucky to get 1 Mythic dungeon.Removed
The 3 choices should had been baseline for 1 dungeon and it should be increasing more from there and on
I'd say, keep the old numbers, BUT match reward to 3 best runs in a week, and count any completed 5-man instance, including m0 and random finder "heroics".Dungeon scene is such a mudfest because people have nowhere to learn, and they don't because the veterans have ZERO resons to go "down" and help weaklings. In previous expacs, randoms nearly always had someone geared and it was rare to meet someone completely green and ignorant because the veterans kept returning to lower wrungs of content, and taught the newbs their ropes, even unconsciously. If all "dungeon" content is included, there will be less segregation than now, and less pressure on top players to seclude themselves to one tier of content... not to mention alts.I have several - mostly tanks and healers, opposed to my dps main.I do that so that I can understand the other roles and up my play.As-is, I will have to dump alts, and if my main class gets screwed up by blizzard, with no backup to fall back to, well I'll do what I did in the past when Blizz did this - I'll unsub for a few years and wait for responsible to get fired. Worked for GC, will work again.
