Everyone searching for a reason why they disband, difficulty of the patch and etc. We actually speak of a guild around 15 years old. People age along with the guilds and getting older means more responsibilities, less free time. MMORPGS are very time demanding and the luxury of time is for the young. I don't know about you, but being around 30-40 years old and spending so much time progressing without making a living out of it seems a bit weird.
Everyone speculating and projecting the reasons why the guilds are stopping raiding. FYI last time midwinter announced stopping raiding was in 2017. Can find a reddit post pretty much the same as all the comments here, from loot being bad, legendaries being bad and how nighthold was released too fast. Personally i feel like it's quite random why individuals stop raiding, and when there's a critical mass of them in a guild paired with work needed to replace them it just happens. On the top end a big reason seems to be falling behind of what they've set their goal to be. On the flip side there was quite a lot of guilds in the top 100 this time around that were either completely new or ones that improved quite a bit. I feel like the tier didnt benefit as much from simply adding extra days to the calendar.
Man Midwinter is a name i remember from back in the day. Nice name too.
so many people confusing a simple raiding team disband with players quitting the game.Since I stopped raiding 5 days a week and stepped down as raidlead after 6 years from Ulduar to Hellfire Citadel, I enjoy the game *much* more. I didn't stop playing, I probably even ended up playing more. I know of many friends who had similar experiences. So calm down folks, nothing to see here. It's sad for their fans, but some people here are acting like back in the day when "Take That" disbanded.
my guild of friends raid in draenor, legion, bfa but in a shadowlands all quite of playing wow, all move to genshin/final fantasy. is sad how shadowlands kill a lot of guilds
Is the "known for their fair play" part a joke or something? Literally the only times I've heard of Midwinter is because of them exploiting bosses. I remember in MoP where they back to back exploited Un'sok and Tsulong (Un'sok was arguably a "clever use of game mechanics" but the Tsulong one was stupid) and I'm pretty sure I've heard of them a couple times since then for the very same reason?Did they do a Echo/Method and just managed to PR their way out of that and get a new image?
who?

Mythic is fine as it is. HOWEVER, rtwf should have its separate slot and be based around gear templates and/or bosses should have limited attempts per day/week.People that can play 24/7 have now a clear advantage - see those Asian guilds that landed in the top 10 by taking 700+ tries to kill the Jailer -.
Another guild, another group of players gone, laid at the feet of this dev team and lead's hubris.Hey, microsoft...IMPLEMENT SOME FRIGGIN' QA AND CLEAN HOUSE!
I love that commenters don't take aging into account. Many of the "big raiders" have family, life or even jobs outside of this. Can't make time for everything. And people were asking for longer raids, they got it, now it's not good. Can't please everyone. Just take everything in moderation... even World of Warcraft!
