Old Ironjaw. What started out as a passing, "It'd sure be nice to fish up Old Ironjaw", became "Maybe on the next cast..."It literally took me 3584 casts, but he now sits proudly in my bank. Like Nat Pagle once said, "I reckon you just need to be determined - determined enough to sit on your duff for hours at a time, doin' nuthin'."
Collector's Edition: Lil' DeathwingLove the lil' Deathwing. :D
My favorite has to be either Master of Arms or Did Somebody Order a Knuckle Sandwich?.
Stone Guard, hands down. I still get asked about it!
Pre-4.0 Loremaster. It took a lot of time and patience searching the world (of Warcraft) for those last few quests that I needed in order to finish up Kalimdor. While it was certainly frustrating at times (WHY IS THERE A DEMON HUNTER ALL THE WAY OUT ON THIS ISLAND!), the sense of accomplishment for having finished it while it "hard" definitely makes it worth it.
Definately Salty.
I'm most proud of The Frozen Throne (10 player). My guild is an RP guild mostly, and though we had good raiders, various issues seemed to pop up whenever we were about to make progress, and it seemed like we had one new person every week. It was fun, though, especially because we did it in-character. Now, I play an undead. For years, the Lich King was the bogeyman that haunted the shadows, the murderer of thousands, the tyrant of despair that had sparked a dark desire for vengeance within the hearts of the Forsaken, and the boss that we'd all been waiting for. My character hated him. I hated him. So, when we raided the Citadel, I gave it my attention both because I love killing things, and because this was my and my character's chance to kill the Lich King while it still mattered. Finally, though, we did it. Every one of us knew the fight well, we had another warlock, and we had more Forsaken than typical. The last might not seem like anything relevant to victory, but I'd joked weeks before that if our entire raid was Forsaken, we'd win sheerly because we'd want it more. We tore through the phases. The horrors were cake, the valkyries we ignored, because they always took me or the other warlock, defile was neatly avoided, and the vile spirits went down without trouble. We died and rose again victorious, and the cutscene played. Then it was timed for the after-victory RP. This was the moment we'd all been waiting for. But instead of raucous celebration, there was somber reflection. Mourning, not cheers. The paladins had lost friends. The Forsaken had lost their driving force. And the Scourge were still a threat. It was brilliant and bittersweet. So, that's why I love this achievement. Months of raiding and torment culminating in victory and powerful storytelling, the Saturday before patch 4.0.
Hero of ShattrathI did it knowing I would get nothing for it, not even achievement points.

Light of Dawn, because it fits a paladin and the battle it's from is a pretty awesome conclusion to an expansion.
I've done a lot of soul searching when trying to answer this question. There are so many achievements im proud of, and a number of "still in progress" ones. But having to pick one I have decided it has to be "World Explorer"It might not be seen as very challenging anymore with old world flying and all, but it was when I got it. I only started playing a year ago, and this was the first achievement I did when I hit 80 after 6 months of leveling my first character. I did it the old way, actually having to use a ground mount in Kalimdor and Easter Kingdoms. Some of those places can be tricky to find from the ground. So this achievement was a huge feeling of accomplishment when I finished, and the first title I really worked for to get.For me, it was a big deal, at that particular moment in time.
I'm going to have to say Insane in the Membrane before the nerf is by far my favorite, also selling the Darkmoon cards after completing the decks made me loads of gold. I also enjoyed Glory of the Ulduar Raider (10 player) just because I got to work closely with some of my favorite guildies and work hard to learn proper strats and things of that nature, it was lots of fun!
Leeeeeeeeeeeroy, because it was the first achievement that I got that rewarded anything. I sitll wear that title to this day.
My favorite achievement is It's Over Nine Thousand! because of the amazing reference. The one I am most proud of is probably The Immortal.
