And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why datamining every little thing and throwing it out for the world to see isn't useful.

With what happened in the past a lot especially WoWhead should know that some things shouldn't be reported based on datamining that isn't even out for closed alpha testing. Because Blizzard always is throwing A LOT of nonsensical stuff around with their test builds that only Blizzard can test, even in PTRs, but then those things don't even get to closed testing anyway, because Blizzard themselfes throws that idea out of the window again.

Why even waste time coding this ability if it was deemed too much. It being at this stage means it passed the draft stage. And that should be alarming enough as is.

More things for mages, yay...

Changes to the mage tree!

Oh its pvp? well nevermind, wake me up when real changes happen and I will give a @#$%

Comment by EastB

As if mages needed any more buffs for pvp

Comment by Frostlich0135

Just to be clear Blizzard, giving MS to mages is probably the worst idea so far, and there has been some hot competition for that title.

REVERT IMMEDIATELY THIS WILL END IN A PR DISASTER WORSE THAN SHADOWLANDS. TURN BACK IMMEDIATELY.

R.I.P warriors then? One of the small few reasons why people had warriors in PvP was the Mortal Strike.

Comment by Elladaryn

Those ones feels like PvP Talents to me tbh.

mages are dog#$%^ under represnted spec in the game. give em stun disarm and and a silence effect too. thanks.

I always thought to myself dying in a mage lock combo before I am able to get control of my character back was... wouldn't this be better if heals were less effective?

Comment by Vamphiir

How about we take away MS from some classes and add something new and unique to each class to compensate? What’s the point of MS If nearly every dps spec has it? May as well just reduce healing by 25% in PvP combat baseline.

What about class fantasy? Maybe add new abilities based on frost/ice. What if you could cast a spell that covers a small area with black ice causing your opponents to slide backwards? Or perhaps the direction they slide is based off of the direction their character is moving when the spell activates, but upon reaching the end of the radius they slip and are stunned for a second while stuck in the knockdown animation?

This could be a double edged sword if it effects not only enemy players but also teammates.. say you’re the mage that casted it and you want to use the spell for mobility, but there’s the consequence of being stunned.. do the pros outweigh the cons?Perhaps you want to use it to peel for a healer, or place it near a ledge as enemies are running toward you which would cause them to skate forward and fall over..

Seriously there’s so many possibilities and they’re considering something as lazy as mortal strike.. ffs

Sure man , give every single healer and caster an interrupt aswell as Mortal Strike , pathetic game. I stil had some hopes left for DF PvP .... sigh.

I see players whom play non-mage classes upset about these datamines, but if you were to objectively look at the mage talent trees you'll see they are a total train wreck, especially core Mage and Arcane talent trees are effectively non-functional. And so far, zero developer interaction on Mage topics.

Even these theoretical talents would not make up for their absolutely broken states. I'd rather they remove gimmicky talents such as the ones presented here, and spent some time properly working on the fun and playability aspects.

My Frost Mage likes where this is going...

Frost mage seems designed primary for PvP. That try too in SL, but Frost will top mage spec. in 9.1, and them Blizz. nerf. it. Why no?
I waiting for frost mage to be below feral druid in dps ranking.

Fervent Flickering - seems good.

rip fire meta

Lmao. Imagine thinking mages are OP when hunters have been 1 shotting people for the last couple years. SMH. Have you people seen the state of warlocks? They're everywhere due to how they're basically a faceroll class in pvp now too. Mages are the bottom tier ranged class in the game by far for pvp.

abso-faka-lutely NO on the ms effect!

Comment by Funkhead

rogue/mage in 2s would be even more disgusting.
