If Sylvanas is Mr. Burns, then Nathanos is definitely Smithers.
Yes, because people were asking themselves what this underwhelming character who was all but a lap dog (if his Mistress would even let him up there) was going to achieve in Shadowlands.
I cannot think of a single NPC in Warcraft Lore that I dislike more than Tyrande. Completely insufferable.
We will be looting her body. At this point with denying Tyrande her kill and kind of moving towards the reason we need to kill Sylvanas, we are doing the one thing we couldn't do to Garrosh and that is "kill" her. Her body is dead, done. The Jailer doesn't need Sylvanas, he has Anduin the one entity he needed to sneak and grab his &*!@. Sylvanas still has her sense about her, she has her "free" will to his service. The Jailer needed Sylvanas to cause death and destruction and what he needed Anduin for was to use the Domination Armor and Mourneblade to grab the Sigils. At the end of the raid, Anduin and Sylvanas will be freed. Her "death" was a necessary distraction and the fight with Anduin also another necessary distraction. Once the Jailer steals the Arbiters soul or merges with the Arbiter his true purpose will exist. The cinematic will hands down be Sylvanas regaining her true soul and joining us against the Jailer (who at this point has gone through the veil to Azeroth) or she will join the afterlife in peace and before she can even achieve this peace, she will probably search for Nathanos within the maw to help us take the fight to Northrend against the Jailer's assault. I know folks are salty but we are in the realm of death, her body dying is whatever, her soul will still persist. It was twisted and mutilated by Arthas to what is the Banshee Queen. If anything she deserves peace in death, something she was denied in Warcraft III. I think her book may be a story on the events leading to her death and her journey through the Shadowlands. It will end with her and Nathanos in Maldraxxus. I predict that the CGI cut going around on MMO-Champ...is a very well kept secret CGI cinematic that they will release for the in between 9.1 and 9.2. Side Note: I think it is interesting that Fate-scribes in the beginning of the Korthia quest saw the maw-walker in the "prophecy"...what is that prophecy? were these events already determined?
the real question is where is Orkus?
I can not honestly believe that she did not know she was sending Nathanos to his death.
I like to see these spotlights, but it kinda also mess with any lore surprises it may have in-game
