I like the idea here, but some of the specifics... idk.I'm happy with the (3) set bonus, it's just less downtime, so faster levelling, but doesn't effect the amount of content you have to do - unsure how useful it'll actually be without seeing numbers, but so far that's kinda neat! The (4) set bonus will suck every time you level from a quest turn-in, but a 4 minute buff will be handy. But the rested xp buffs... I can't see them as anything other than "xp buff, with caveats!", which goes against what I thought the heirloom redesign was for?Firstly: so when I make a new toon, half of the heirloom set bonuses mean nothing unless I don't play/sit around in a city for a while. Secondly: because it's bonus xp we're levelling up faster than the content was likely tuned for, so we're going to finish before the content is over, which iirc was why they changed from the current +x% xp?Personally I'd have loved something like "+20% mount speed" (assuming you're below max), or "quest items are more likely to drop". Those speed up levelling while also making you still play the content, without giving you power that'll suck to lose.
It seems like a lot of people are failing to recognize just how much time and currency people have put into gathering all of the heirlooms. Purchasing them and then upgrading them not once but twice. It all adds up to a lot of time and currency. Blizzard absolutely should respect the effort people put into these items for the powerful bonuses they once had. The very least that Blizzard could do is make them have interesting set bonuses.
Once this goes into effect, the amount of gold it takes to upgrade heirlooms needs to be nerfed.
doesn't seem too bad although i would have wished for increased movement speed after killing a mob or turning a quest in
I love the bonus rested XP, but ideally I'd like something more useful than a burst that only happens on level up...which isn't always guaranteed to be during combat. Plus, it's only when you level, so it's an uncontrollable effect with a buff that doesn't last very long. This could stand to be improved alongside the out of combat regeneration, I feel; I can stop and eat food if I'm out of combat. Why do I need armor that does that? If I've invested seals and gold and tokens of all kinds into this gear over the last roughly 13 years, I feel like I should get something a little better than 'you do what food already does for you.'Why not look at pseudo tier-gear bonuses that are still generic enough to help all classes, but don't provide an uncontrollable effect that may not do anything...and an effect that doesn't really seem like something I'd pay for at all, much less have forced on me after I paid for something else years ago. Heirlooms are a huge time and gold sink (I used to farm these babies back in Wrath, so it's been a long time farming) - it just feels like their bonuses should be a little...special?
4 set bonus doesn't seem very useful however if it was changed to give primary stat for 5 minutes could work instead. Allows some use of it while turning in quests or exiting a dungeon/battleground. Otherwise you have to kind of time it when killing mobs and that would be awkward.
Crap bonuses, if they offer refunds I'll take one. Would have been happy with like 30% run speed.
Don't dig the 4-piece bonus, but everything else looks intriguing! Love it.
New bonuses are underwhelming and not worth all that gold we have spent on heirlooms and upgrades.
Anyone knows if this will go live at prepatch or launch? Specially the bit about pots, to know how fast I need to get rid of mine :)

People tend to power level alts, so the rested XP bonuses are rather mediocre...REGEN is just useless...Level up Buff should be far longer... 10 minutes up to 20 minutes, because most level ups occur turning in quests, it'd go to waste.Replace either the Rested XP, and Regen. Rest XP to 15/30% Movement Speed, and Regen with Mounted movement Speed .
I'm a bit disappointed by the rested xp bonus. Essentially, that means that I won't see too much of a benefit from my heirlooms immediately after creating an alt. I have to stop leveling and come back the next day for that benefit to be useful. And, if leveling is as fast as it's supposed to be, that might not really be that helpful. I'd rather see more benefits that take effect immediately. For example, a run speed boost would be very welcome.
Now if i can WA the leveling sound fro the diablo 3...
