I hope they don't do what they did to BFA to Shadowlands. I hated the removal of the opening scenario and starting quests like breaking out of jail. I miss that and I don't want to miss Shadowlands story!
I don't know why they didn't just keep 60 as the max level and not have to re-scale all the old expansion every new expansion. Everyone above 50 could get brought down to 50, everyone below stays the same, preventing your alts from being de-leveled every squish. Keep a consistent 10-50 experience, and improve it where possible/necessary. That would open up the leveling part of the game to be its own thing for people who like that part of the RPG aspect. New players even could just play WoW as a bunch of 1-50 experiences (or be wild and let it take you to 60!), creating new characters and going through a different storyline each time. Hell, add in the classic storylines too as another leveling experience! The game could be so much more by letting players have the kind of RPG experience they want.
1-70 in any zone when? Don't force me to do a story while I'm leveling kthx
I much rather see them stop at level 70I think adding levels and making it so that you have to go back to 50 in 10 years is gonna be annoying and even then I think adding 10 more levels every time kinda makes people not want to even level alts anymore especially if they are planning to make new classes, and with the new talent tree it seems like they might end up going in that same problem where they have to add new talents each time so people can spend 10 more points every expansionWhat they should do is stop at 70 and on 11.0 they should just do the story through questing like they have been doing these past few expansions, that way Blizzard doesn't have to add fillers or have to force themselves to extend the story even more just to reach that last level, and side quests can be give gold and maybe even resources on whatever that expansion will haveAnd once the player is done with the questline with 1 character their alts can instantly go into end-game unless they want to do the story if they would like
What I wanna know is, if you chromie time SL, is threads of fate an option, or do we gotta follow the original SL quest sequence?
This article doesn't say if max level will be 60 or 70, but i'm going to assume that it's going to be 70.
I'm not concerned about the leveling as I am the story telling. As new players who doesn't know anything about the lore, leveling does a horrible job in telling them the relationship between their character and characters like Thrall or Jaina. New players not going through Northrend and Cata, will have no idea who Alexstraza and the other aspects are, or why they're important. I really wish the dev's would find a way to tell the story from Classic to current expansion for new players. Gone are the days where people who don't care about the lore and just want to do end game are forced to quests and in the world.
Chromie time seems cool, but idk, if I make an alt character, I'm going to prefer to level through all expansions. Start with Cata 1-60 into BC into Wrath > Cata > MOP > WOD > LEG > BFA > SHadowlands > Dragon Isles. It is very INTERESTING that the devs do not want players going from exiles to bfa to shadowlands to dragon isles, just exiles to bfa to dragon isles. I guess that means there is nothing in the story relating to shadowlands events? I always tell new players FORGET THE RUSH, you will have more fun by exploring and checking out all the expansions and see what storylines you want to follow at first. And if a player does reach level 60, I highly recommend they spend time going back to xpacs they might have skipped. WOW is about not just one expansion, but all of them combined into one amazing adventure! Even if you dont use Chromie and you overpower stuff, its still an amazing experience and always fun!My dream is for there to be a NEW RP-PVP realm in Dragonflight expansion, where players can ONLY CHOOSE ONE CHARACTER or only one per faction. Thats it.
I honestly didn't like Shadowlands for a multitude of reasons. However, I like BFA even less because the most of the Horde quests make them look like scum until level 50, and that's assuming you DON'T side with Sylvanas. And the Alliance have to do dungeon quests to unlock allied races, which is odd. Oh, let's not forget the ridiculous Pathfinder achievement when you need to be level 50 to even go to Nazjatar and Mechagon Island. Now if you're arguing that Shadowlands may be too complicated for new players, then I would agree. And that's with the guides. However, I would argue that you're better off doing the base content. Sure it gets boring, and some areas can be hard to reach. At least you only 400 gold, which you'll get from questing, and then you just need a flying mount.
BfA is not a good expansion to play in as a new player, especially horde. Navigating the early stages is very hard for some people because the horde city is absolute dog !@#$.
