FINNALLLYYY!
All these changes are great, but a lot of them should have been implemented at the start. It's a shame that lawsuits finally made them listen to the community
Who cares that was easy already, what about bfa mythic raids so we have something else than korthia to do
All Legion bosses are easily soloable - even in Mythic - with decent gear by all classes now. Except Eonar Mythic. Both in theory - they said as much in blue posts - and practice, blizzard does not nerf bosses because you don't have enough gear :- Gul'dan dies easily now, the stun lasts 1 second and he will die before you.- Aggramar never casts flame rend if your dps is high enough, which is doable in 9.1- Immonar no longer casts his sleep since 8.3For bosses like coven, the Shivan pact can be dealt with with the right strategy. I don't think blizzard should nerf bosses if there is a working strategy.By the way, I made a video back in 9.0 explaining how all classes could solo all bosses (exept Eonar) by doing the right strat or hitting them hard enough here. However, they should intervene on truly unsoloable bosses. As explained in the video, Eonar would be impossible even with a +1000% buff because Eonar's health does not scale, so if you don't have enough mobility you can't do the Paraxxis fast enough and she will die.Other examples are Rastakhan - that despawns in phase 2 - and maybe Mythrax, who despawns once he hits you with his mind control orb (although another hunter figured out a strategy to avoid them that works on all classes). But I do think there is a discussion to be had about :- should bosses be nerfed if they are just too difficult to overgear ? For example, Opulence is soloable if you run inside and let it get the 200% health/damage buff. But it will be 3 times harder than other bosses. Note that blizzard always answered no.- should bosses be simplified ? For Mythrax, the strategy to dodge the orb is not simple at all. Should players be expected to learn it or should the boss be "given" to them ? Here again, blizzard always answered no.Still, they have intervened multiple times to make bosses soloable, so it's not that they don't want to change them, but that they only do it if they believe it's truly impossible. If it's just really difficult, they don't nerf it.
Maybe make vanilla/tbc/wrath raids give higher ilvl than the dungeons do :P
King's rest dungeon
Mythic Illidan can be soloed by a Fire Mage and Paladins already, as they have a shield they can use when it gets tough (Fire Mage specifically has a Cheat Death + Ice Block + Ice Block Heal conduit combo to save him). But I agree that the stun ability from Illidan's worms must go away so that more classes can solo him.
KJ.. but one also needs a fix is Gorefiend. He depsawns if there aren't enough players. Due to the stomach realm mechanic. Yes he's easy to solo but if you and friend want to loot him, someone has to step out.
FINAL-@#$in-LY
Legion Legacy should've been balanced for legacy when it was made legacy last expansion.Way too late. Not impressed
Mythic KJ is still not solo-able for many specs especially with low mobility classes.
Mythic KJ needs tuning because.. Mythic KJ reasons.
So here's my opinion :- Gul'dan is not a problem anymore. He could be solo'd as early as 9.0 with an excellent gear ; now we can kill him with a decent gear and as soon as the next major patch, everyone should be able to destroy him without any issue.- Fallen Avatar is kind of the same as Gul'dan but slightly harder. I can solo him with 245 ilvl (SP) and I guess a good player should be able to kill him with less ilvl. However I don't know how it turns out for other classes even though next major patch will probably make it much easier for everyone... Especially if there is a replacement for Domination sets that would work outside of the Maw.- Eonar is a very different matter : it might be doable with any classes but I haven't even tryed so much for one simple reason... The encounter is absolutely not fun and needs some understanding while a 2nd or 3rd player trivialize it. This is my opinion the kind of boss they should focus on as it is a massive turndown for most players.I haven't really tryed the last 2 ones so can't tell...Besides, I'd really love if they added a feature (a toy ? a spell ?) that lets you "mimic" the behaviour of your character for a single encounter. I doubt they'd ever implement it for many reasons (risks of players abusing it, difficulty to create such a feature or even other deeper reasons) but playing with Time has always been the kind of spells I like the most !
It's not exactly tuning but SoO really needs a skip.
