Don't blame him for class balance, because he had absolutely nothing to do with it. He did a great job working on quests, outdoor zones, dungeons, raids etc.
Finally he's left!HE was the guy that destroyed World of WARcraft. from beta onwards, after all the devs had left / got fired.Carebear EQ #$%^&. >.<

World of Rock n Roll Racing !
I don't even know how you guys can be arguing over the topic with a picture like that in the blog post. I seriously lost any sense of comprehension after seeing that thing. Where do you find these atrocities, Malgayne? Some sort of Google image search from hell? D:
To the nerdragers: Simmer down.
WoW is steaming down the track to the EZ mode train wreck. Casual players are beginning to voice the same complaints as "hardcores". With the pressure to expand their subscription base, Blizzard seems committed to make thing easier not harder. Even if it remains a minority, "soon" the number of people who are sufficiently dissatisfied with WoW will be more than larger enough to support a new MMO. Early adopters tend to be more hard core than the broad player base. So it makes perfect sense to roll out a new game that they can switch to. Blizzard keeps their subscription base (over all). Can continue the EZ mode track with WoW and expand that player base and keep the anti-EZ mode folks happy with a new game.
The stark omission in his post is that he didn't name a direct replacement. Two thoughts enter my mind:
Actually he is acting as if that position is a key one on the development team and if Blizzard isnt replacing that position it may mean WoW is nearing its end as far as new content goes.I would say it as of yet much too early to speculate much on this.
I didn't bother reading any posts but the OP, but I'm glad captain poopsock left the building. Originally he had much more of a role in deveolpment during vanilla and somewhat during BC, but it was Tom Chilton who was calling the shots during late BC and throughout WoTLK. And through that transition the game has only gotten less poopsock MMO like, and more like a standard online game that is played massively, which I'm sure most people like (considering the few people who play hardcore mmos like EvE in comparsion to WoW, most people don't want to have to poopsock to have fun).In the next year I expect the game to get much much better now that he's gone, but I worry for the next MMO, and I seriously doubt that it'll pass WoW's epicness.
