You are kept out because some of us still enjoy faction identity. It doesn't have to do with all out war. But they have no problem with undeads what backwards logic is this?Comment by marcialhdso the right most gate the bottom of the map is the original horde entrace, while the "main silvermoon gate" in midnight will be to where falcon square and the area behind where all the lvl 6 wretched were pre midnight.

So, essentially, old silvermoon is being remade into the new horde only district, while new silvermoon will incorporate old silvermoon plus a lot of the area outside of it that was for questing.

Jaina didn't have "a vague idea". The mana bomb incident and the divine bell incident were separate occasions. Jaina and Vereesa learned about Thalen's treachery which led to Theramore's destruction and Ronin's death. But they didn't know about Fanlyr or about who else was directly involved or who else saw and kept the Horde's actions in the city secret instead of going to the Council. Aethas just tells Jaina he didn't do anything, he never says he didn't look the other way. Jaina chose to trust Aethas after the first Sunreaver betrayal that it was an isolated incident and that it would never happen again - then it happened again. So his assurances couldn't be trusted - either because he was lying or because he was incompetent and couldn't keep his people in check.

Again with the 'civilians' you can't use our player knowledge as a basis of what an NPC should know. We know who was and wasn't involved because we played through the scenario on our Horde characters - Jaina obviously didn't. But even Fanlyr says to our Horde characters that more SunreaverS are involved in the plot not just him alone.

The Sunreavers weren't a "marginalized" group. They were equal to the Silver Covenant in Dalaran - two factions of the High Elf race who had different political affiliation but were both welcome in the city as long as they adhered to the Kirin Tor's rules. The Sunreavers still had access to their capital city and homeland due to their affiliation with the Horde as that Horde-affiliation was shared by Quel'thalas as a whole, so if any one of them could be called marginalised it's the Silver Covenant because they're the minority.

So yes I agree that there was undue levels of violence involved, but if a group of humans who aren't welcome in their home city anymore and now live in gray city and support the blue political team have a violent conflict with a group of humans who live in gray city and support the red political team even after the red leader warcrimed a city and killed gray city's previous leader, we wouldn't call that a genocide by any stretch of the imagination.

As for Jaina and Vereesa 'acting out' without 'consulting Varian' their actions were about Dalaran alone. Dalaran was not an Alliance city it was a neutral city under the authority of the Kirin Tor. Jaina was chosen to be the leader of the Kirin Tor so it was her responsibility to make sure that the city isn't secretly used to aid one faction in their warmongering - and unfortunately it was clear that the Sunreavers couldn't keep their people in check, so barring the Sunreavers from Dalaran was not in itself a crime. No one would have bat an eye if she had them investigated. I'm saying it's not like she was dumb and didn't know. She just didn't care in her rage.

I consider it a genocide because Vereesa aimed for their elimination, and it was about a group. It's not just based on religion or race, even though High Elves consider themselves to be different and superior to Blood Elves. They carried out the torture and murders with that hatred in mind. The citizens again, did not commit the crime. It was two Sunreavers. Vereesa tells you in this quest in the quest text that she wanted them eliminated. That she wanted to do this for years but Rhonin stopped her. The neutrality was not broken by citizens and yes they knew it wasn't all citizens. They again were using their rage over Theramore to justify a total purge.

I know what Varian meant. He clearly meant that she messed eveything up by acting rash. And again there is a reason she's not still leader of the Kirin Tor. Not sure what you mean. Jaina initially assumes Aethas was involved -> he then corrects her that he didn't do anything personally and Jaina believes him on that -> but he does not disagree when she says that he had to have known about it and chose to keep it a secret instead of telling the Council. So not sure what you think Jaina was supposed to have known there - she learned that she could not trust Aethas to sort his side out and be honest with the Kirin Tor - it doesn't mean that she learned that most Sunreavers weren't in on it.

"The citizens again, did not commit the crime." Again, Jaina and Vereesa don't know that. What they did know is that the Horde and x number of Sunreavers committed the crime, and that the number of people who knew about it and still said nothing is greater than x.

You're free to look up what genocide means, but as I said it does not apply here. Being a Sunreaver is a political choice - the Horde violated Dalaran's rules, the Sunreavers aided the Horde and broke the Kirin Tor's neutrality that they swore to uphold, so people continuing to stand on the Horde and the Sunreavers side after all that is treason to the Kirin Tor and in opposition to the orders of the leader of the Kirin Tor.

Vereesa did not aim for their elimination, the quest texts make clear that she was going after those that defied the orders given: "Jaina will have sent the reasonable ones to the Violet Hold. The rest refuse to leave, raising their weapons against us. Show them the cost of their defiance." "Most shopkeepers in the Magus Commerce Exchange have sided with the Silver Covenant, but there remain a few holdouts that must be taken care of." "Compliant Sunreavers will be sent to the Violet Hold. Defiant ones are put to the sword. NONE are to escape." Which is about police brutality - using excessive force against people who are resisting arrest and choosing to make a stand with people who have committed treason of state.

And regarding Varian, he says: "I can't really fault Jaina for acting on her own behalf, for once." He's not mad at Jaina for doing what she did (he thinks she had every right to do so). He's just frustrated that it's something Lor'themar won't like.
