Solo vs. Group Horrific Visions

Solo

Pros

Cons

Due to low scaling, your cooldowns are capable of killing troublesome enemies very quickly.
Full benefit from the Titanic Research upgrade, Singular Sanitation Expertise.
Full benefit from Elite Extermination, as only the player who lands a killing blow gains Sanity.
Full benefit from Vials hidden throughout the city, as only one person can benefit from a vial.
Able to earn the feat of strength achievement, Mad World, awarding the title "<name> the Faceless One"

If you die or hit 0 Sanity, your run is over as there is nobody that can revive you. Emergency Cranial Defibrillation can save you once.
Nobody to cover for you if you get disconnected from the game for whatever reason.
Only some classes and roles may have high efficiency at clearing Horrific Visions solo.
If you are a healer queueing solo, you'll need to play a DPS spec, Tank spec, or do high damage as your healer spec to be efficient.

Group

Pros

Cons

Able to divide and conquer objectives that require both killing enemies and interacting with objects. This makes completing some objectives faster.
Able to use Synchronized Mind Stabilizer, which is very useful overall to keeping Sanity levels high across the group.
More benefit from Expansive Mind as the effect stacks for each player that has it talented.
Players can revive each other by donating half of their remaining Sanity to their ally that has died or hit 0 Sanity.
More utility available to interrupt deadly casts.
Classes and roles that may underperform or players with low cloak levels in this kind of content can be helped along by their friends.
Healers and Tanks are pretty useful.
Tradeable loot at the end of the vision.

Enemy health scales significantly per player. In most cases, this will result in enemies taking longer to kill in a group.
Some Madness and Faceless Masks effects affect other players as well. Madness: Haunting Shadows, the fire pools spawned from Madness: Scorched Feet, Faceless Mask of the Dark Imagination, and the void zones spawned by Faceless Mask of the Burned Bridge are visible to all players and are affected by them even if they aren't the source of them. This can lead to hectic gameplay.
Some enemies cast their abilities on all players, potentially causing more void zones to spawn.
Diminished effects on Singular Sanitation Expertise.
Diminished effect on Elite Extermination, as only 1 member of your group will benefit from killing elites due to the killing blow requirement.

I belive it designed to able to do with every class, with the proper gear.

Also the affixes which are changing every week, probably true that certain affixes favors certain classes, but probably possible to do it solo, even with 5 masks, else no point for the "Able to earn the feat of strength achievement, Mad World, awarding the title "<name> the Faceless One"Comment by KaladosI am so lost and confused with this patch, is this something you Q for? Tank n' Spank to all maner of things to watch out for. Hunting for BiS Gear to Loading up 1 piece sorta. A demon hunter with 10% base leech via talents and demon transformation every 30 seconds which grant him even more, with many defensive cooldown and good mobility, will have an easier time than a fire mage or a survival hunter.Comment by TheLoraHow efficient are tanks going to be at soloing this? Seems like it's more time based than survival-based with that sanity bar no?
