I'm not normally one who gets upset over these clearly asinine drop rates from MoP mounts, but with an exploit like this creating such an unfair situation I can't hold my tongue. Something has to be done. Many mount collectors will be up in arms over this.
How the hell is it sad people missed it? I mean you are pro exploit? Players have been trying in the thousands to get these mounts, and you are sad you missed an exploit? How sad are you with your life?Amazing man how some people think!
Love the comments, especially a guy saying to remove the mounts from other people xDDOthers having this mount are not affecting you, you just want others to be more miserable than you?
Does this mean different classes have a higher chance of getting the mount than others? Or is this just a special case?
Oh oh could this have also been the case with Invincible?
It's kind of funny how someone getting a mount due to blizzard dropping the ball with loot tables somehow takes enjoyment out of ones own game. I could not imagine being so goddamn entitled to the point you DEMAND blizzard take action against something that some people may not have even known was an exploit at the time. Removing the mounts will cause controversy as well, what of the people who have also been farming for years and had their own sob story, finally being vindicated via this "exploit"? Frankly most of you should be ashamed at how unbelievably entitled you act about another person gaining a vanity item that you think you deserved more in a video game.
The fact is that this was an unintended and overlooked bug. Some people innocently brought their Dracthyr for an extra attempt and got a pleasant surprise, and some people spread the word and took their Dracthyr over in hopes of exploiting a bug (and it worked). Anything gained via exploit, in any game, should be removed; it's really that simple. If for some odd reason they don't remove these though, I don't really care that much, and I have 5000 attempts on Sha. I personally wouldn't bring my Dracthyr to Sha anyways because firstly, I'd assume Blizzard would just remove it, but more importantly, I wouldn't want to own a mount obtained by cheating.
it's absolutely asinine that people think that mounts gained through a VERY OBVIOUS EXPLOIT should not be removed - what's even more crazy are the people saying "i didn't get to the exploit in time, so i think you should give everyone the mount for free to make it fair".the mounts should be removed. if you want it, go farm it or buy it like everyone else did. i really hope blizzard does right by the people that put actual effort into getting these mounts over the span of multiple years. this is just sad and gross.
good job to all the people that got the mounts. To the rest of the miserable whiners...... Get a life! Stop bein so miserable!
So how many people actually managed to level a dracthyr (out of the starter zone) in time + went to do these bosses + got lucky? Probably not that many at all. I hope they get to keep the mounts. They were never that prestigious anyway since they were put in the BMAH.
Take out the Possibly. It was enterely hotfixed.
Honestly, I'm a little sad I missed out. I had mentioned this possible mishap to my partner and he had well over 4k attempts, he ended up getting the mount. I finished getting my scaly intro quests done and raced out there, no mount. Figured I got a "bad" draw and leveled another one that didn't get the mount. It was hotfixed. While I'm a little sad/ salty, I'm so happy for my partner. He'd been farming this mount for years when he is subbed to the game. Like, alts that haven't left Kun Lai since Warlords of Draenor. Do I think it's fair to remove the mounts - no. Blizzard dropped the ball when they originally introduced these mounts into the game, they weren't on the loot table, they scorned us with the low drop rate, and Blizzard messed up today. Blizzard is quite literally handing out TCG mounts, mounts that people either hard to work in real life or in-game to get the currency needed to purchase them. Even a 1% mount can take years to farm (ahem... my Invincible attempts that rarity reminds me of), these have nothing to do with skill but pure luck. If people bought Sha/ Nalak and they increase the drop rate, those individuals will feel the same way as those who purchased the Fel Drake. Even if someone has an army of alts sitting in Kun Lai they will waste at least 15 minutes (unless they alternate realms) waiting for him to spawn. That's 4 characters per hour, 15 hours would be needed to get 60 kills in. Which would only give you 60 chances per week unless you go get bonus rolls, which would require more time acquiring. Farming just Sha is a part-time job and that's a problem.
