Now THIS is cool. Hearthstone has some pretty cool unique characters in its world. I personally hopey Yogg will make it from Hearthstone into WoW. ;)

Awesome to see more Hearthstone characters in WoW, especially Cariel finally! Hope to see Tamsin (either as a Forsaken or a lich) and the rest of the mercs too.Have to say, though, A. F. Kay's transmog game leaves a bit to be desired.
Looks like Kay could make use of some foot massage along with that cupcake...Seriously now, did anyone of you noticed that Blizz since vanilla liked to add some barefoot caster NPCs? Either with pre-generated mob model like those elf women in Sholomance before revamp, or simply using character making tools. I guess it isn't something anyone pays much attention to this, but I think it's enough of them to make a separate lits on Wowwiki/Wowpedia.
They won't play any role, it's the same with the dude from the other day, they've got bog standard models so it's likely they're just easter eggs for heartstone players.
I hope they change A.F. Kay's clothes before launch, she doesn't look anything like her art.

The A.F. Kay NPC looks nothing like the art from Hearthstone or the original art that inspired it. No idea what this NPC is in the picture but that is not A.F. Kay.
It's cool seeing more Hearthstone characters join the Warcraft canon officially. Even if they don't play any part in the story, it's nice to know that they're out there somewhere, possibly having their own adventures.
